Resting... what's that? Is that something non-parents get to do? :rotfl: Unfortunately it's impossible to rest on a working day - although I did get to do research all day today which was brilliant .Hi MW , sorry I haven't popped in for a while. Hi newgirly, good to see you here. Hope all well with you - I've not been popping onto people's diaries either
, hoping can catch up when on maternity leave.

Thanks greent - it's gone quiet the last couple of weeks and I've run out of comping steam so might be time to take a break!
One month tomorrow til mat leave starts :j! Very much looking forward to having more time with the kids. A very busy month at work ahead, but confident can get it done.
OH and I had our night away in a hotel - the weather was beautiful, we did lots of walking and hand holding, eating, and had a massage and facial each. It was brilliant
(and pushed the boat out, but still within annual holiday budget).
Unfortunately we were then struck by scarlet fever so rest of Easter plans were a bit scuppered. We did manage to have some family time, visiting the new olympic park, having an egg hunt in the garden, and generally hanging out.
We've paid for our annual service and MOT this month, so transferred some money out of savings (which I had topped a bit earlier in the month with 'leftover' money in the current account).
We've also made some plans regarding how we're going to reorganise the house in the year ahead. First step is to get the office ready to be more of a reading/single guest room. Funny how visualising the end result can inspire you - after pinning wallpaper ideas online I've finally got myself in gear and got the 15 boxes/bags in the office down to just five. Am hoping we can redecorate that room and get it ready before the baby comes. After all, what is the point of paying a mortgage if I'm wasting a room in my house?Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Hi museumworker,
I'm a long-time lurker on your thread but can't remember if I've posted before
Anyway, well done on the decluttering and plans for your office. Where does this stuff come from? Everytime I have a clear out it just seems to come back!
Good luck with your busy month at work. It should just make your maternity leave even more special when it starts
