You have to remember to go with the flow, if your grey is showing through too quickly then you must dye your hair a lighter colour. I was nearly black when I was younger, I am now a blonde, but the grey isn't obvious, and as I did it gradually builidng up the streaks, until the blond took over, no-one every noticed until a month or two after when some guy at work said, Hey you're blonde (with a twinkle in his eye) as if I as any different.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club

I am going lighter honest! It's just that my natural colour is as close to black as brown can get, I am now buying mid-brown, I went blonde once before but DH was not impressed

your sounds like the same colour as mine! at the moment I use natural darkest brown but I can see that it is getting too harsh for me and I need to lighten it a bit, would love it done at the hairdressers but its too expensive !Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Until the last few years I didn't know what my true colour was for a long time :rotfl: I used to be natural blonde, but now it's brown, hmmm maybe some highlights when I can find the time, oh and a cut would be nice, hairdresser will no doubt say 'have you been cutting your fringe yourself?' and the reply will be yes, after 9 months it gets in your eyes a bit!
Oh it's snowing !!!! Stuck in what I think about the snow this time, part of me thinks oh great if it stays kids will be happy, on the other hand will they close the school! I best put the local radio on in the morning if it's bad. Saying that I can see the school gates from my house so can see if there is anyone turns up.
Football on here too, then he's wandered into the kitchen to do something else, wonder where he's hidden the remote
We did try some study tonight, got a bit done but both started getting short tempered due to tiredness, so put it away until tomorrow! One day I might be more organised...........

It's not fair! I wonder if Tesco have an offer on Garnier Nutrisse this week?
well mine is lovely and purple now without the grey bits - this was l'oreal semi permanent - shouldlast six weeks but we'll see. - i did already have an old colour on but couldn't be arsed with all that doing the roots frist bother and just slapped it on. had a lovely purple bath after but my hair still smells of cat wee to me :eek:I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Yes, I know what you mean if I had suggested going blonde to DH he would have had a fit! However, I am fortunate enough to have a very inexpensive mining village hairdresser, who is extremely good, and gradully did it, still maximum I like to go inbetween is 5 weeks. I was the same though so v dark brown that most people though it black. Skin colour has changed with the age too, so it now suits to blonde.
