Why oh why do the JW's have to come round just when I am right in the middle of something! I was just trying to sneak out of DD's room without waking her up and they knock at the door. I'm afraid I was quite sharp with them this time. The same two only turned up at my door 4 days ago and I told them then I wasn't interested!! She does it again and I am going to be extremely rude!

Ask them to put you down as a "do not call", then they will never bother you again:D

Thanks everybody for the hugs :A

loren - I love Peckham too, I'd been wanting to live there for years. Technically I don't live in Peckham itself, I'm literally JUST over the Camberwell border (SE5), but I use Peckham's amenities more than I use Camberwell's as the buses are more convenient. I just think there has been so much PROGRESS in the area in recent years, and I hope the knife and gun crime of the last few days is something that will fizzle out quickly. I'm not completely naive, I know it will always be there as an undercurrent, but I would really like to get involved with making the area a reasonably safe place to live.

Just got back into the office after a lovely lunch with PenPen, Shez and MushyPeas :D PenPen gave us each a packet of HM biscuits  - Thanks Pen!

Aussie: glad you arrived safely, get in touch, you've got my mobile number :)

Right, must get back to work...

    Arrrrrrgghh Men!

DH always leaves the finances up to me! Whenever I ask him about something he always says "you know about all that stuff, you deal with it" So now I am trying to organise a re-mortage (got fed up with all the interest rises our company are foisting on to us) got a good mortgage broker on the case who has found one which will pay off our secured loan too, be fixed rate for 2 years, and has no arrangement fees or valuation fees or solicitors fees and I can overpay as and when I can with no stipulation other than no more than 10% of capital in a year, it will still leave us £80 a month better off and he is !!!!!ing about what if the mortgage rate shoots up over the next two years and we suddenly have a huge jump to cope with!!!!!!

I'm going to shoot him I swear :(
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Trying to read page 3 and I just keep getting page 2 again. Wonder what will happen to my post.

Afternoon all. Sitting here fretting about the snow that's being forecast. I am really scared of snow and ice. Every year I get worse. If it's that bad I might take tomorrow night off work but I feel guilty about that (even though I can take it as holiday). I can't just take time off because of the weather. Last time I did (about 3 years ago) my husband just kept grumbling about it.

Sorry to ramble on, it's really bothering me.
