:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY VALENTINE:bdaycake:
I lurveeeeeeeeeeeeeee our free bus passes we can travel anywhere in the county and also on the train to our next biggest city for half fare with ours...brilliant. Means we can go to the market and get our fruit and veg....fresh!!!!!!!!!! I have had one for 3 years now, never used it when we had to pay to go tinot town, the fares for 2 of us was equivalent to a dinner for us......hence Mr T used to get my fruit money..............I still get my veg from the lady who stands on our local market, prefer the big town market for fruit though.................
I FINISHED THE BACK BEDROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting for news from the US, the biospy results are due this afternoon, so may not hear until the morning they are 8 hours behind us..........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm finding it very frustrating not being able to post very often, although I try to read the threads every day.
DS is much happier now - he has been over his dissertation with a very helpful tutor and feels in control of it. He also spent 10 mins yesterday telling me about his latest module - Understanding Deviance (he's doing a degree in criminology) he enjoyed his lectures on serial killers and cults:eek: .
DD is now the one stressing because she's editing a magazine (on top of her normal v v busy job) and the deadline is the end of the month. If it's not one it's the other:rolleyes: .
Hope to get to the os meet on Saturday, the plan is to meet dd and b/f at Ikea in Thurrock then take them and their purchases (they don't have a car) to their new flat in Hackney. I will then go to the meet while DH helpd put together the furniture. I hope the snow doesn't stop us.
Must go and make the bangers and mash for tea and I'm craving something sweet but I'm trying to resist because I've lost 20lbs so far with WW and don't want to backslide.
I'm afraid I've desrted the flylady thread:o . Downstairs is fine but upstairs apart from the bathroom is one big hotspot.

Happy Birthday Valentine
Thanks Donny-gal - My Dad lives in Clowne, I doubt its him though, as Im sure I would have had a call by now with all the glory - but then again - doubt I would see a penny of it anyway. Not after the wicked step-mother gets her claws into it. lolHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Evening,
Haven't read through the thread yet. Just about to make Spanakopita for dinner. Work is good...I hit myself in the head with a spanner todayIt's come up a shiner.
No OS is happening at the mo...until I get used to the routine, I'm so tired when I come home I'm just going straight to bed after dinner. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Happy birthday Valentine enjoy your day:j
Hiya all:D
Well tea was a disaster! , made macaroni but cheese sauce went a bit thick so tried to thin it out, only to realise all the burnt bits at the bottom which i had managed to avoid getting mixed with it was now in the cheese sauce! so did a curry sauce to go with the pasta, this didnt go down too well!! :rotfl: ah well.
Car had to go in garage today instead of tomorrow as the guy wanted the brakes to dry in time? so hopefully get it back tomorrow and wont be too expensive:rolleyes:
Lo went out in the snow for the first time as he wasnt walking last year, he had a great time:D
In the afternoon ds1 and ds2 went out the back into the field behind our house to have a shot of their sledges, only meant to be out half an hour but they were gone for an hour, dh took them down the back of the field where thay were out of view, dh didnt take any of ds1's diabetes stuff! which i was not amused at, surprise surprise he comes back having a hypo!!
Ds2 smacked the side of his face when he sledged right into a fencepost! oww! he is ok, but will have a bruise tomorrow:eek: ds1 sledged into the same fence but not the fencepost! kids!!
Here is pic of lo in the snow:

Hi everyone - DH's day off today so he's been running around doing the jobs:D , coal, chopping sticks, post office, local shop, etc. He even questioned the cost of sprouts (mse'r in training:T ) as we just don't buy many veg it was a shock to him. Then he cleared a space in the greenhouse and washed some seed trays, hinting I think that it's time to plant a few more vege seeds already.
Nice coal fire to come home to:D
lauren83- my admin assisstant does a great job too! I couldn't manage without her and I keep telling her so but she's still looking for another job because she graduated and understandably wants a job in her chosen field.
moggins- I know exactly what you mean! Can you tell me which company the mortgage is with - it sounds too good to be true compared to those I've been looking at this week. Thank you.
Have a nice evening everyone.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Hello all! Was so tired yesterday and my computer at work has been playing up so sorry I wasn't on here!
Happy birthday to JackieO and Valentine!
((huigs)) to those who need and want them!
Have just been sitting here watching Hollyoaks and the news with a cuppa and some Galaxy chocolate, always nice after a long day at work!
I'm dreading tomorrow, so am getting up half an hour early so I can attempt to get to work if it does snow badly... will have to sacrifice Radio 1 for local radio tomorrow, just incase they close the school!! I'd miss out on a days wages, but I'd rather not be there when the weather is bad.. especially since last time it snowed I got a snowball to the back of the head!
Am trying to figure out what to get OH for Valentines... dinner is planned... I have 2 yellow sticker steaks in the freezer, and will make a cheese cake or something similar for desert!
This week I have treated myself to some fab new work clothes... used lots of codes when ordering them, and managed to get a really nice dress in Asda for £3! So now I can be stylish and cosy at work! Woo hoo!
Back to relaxing.....
