Hello diary land
I am pondering over starting a new diary in honour a my big job change. My goals are slightly different now I suppose
Work is going soooo well. I go complimented that I have a lovely manner on the phone and that I was picking it all up really quickly!
Missing the kids though and it has only been 3 days.
Will make the most of it over the bank holiday weekend.
Update
Not sure how we are with money until I get paid from this job.
In other areas
Loan - my overpayment makes it £3145 :j £1000 paid off over 3 months.
Xmas saving
I have £40 worth of amazon vouchers with £6 on the way (all from surveys)
£35 sitting in paypal with another £15 to go in (surveys)
£44 in my £2 jar
So £140 there ready
Off to tidy up - with less hours at home the house will get neglected! xOrange Fairy

Glad to hear you're enjoying the new job:) sounds like you're most definitely better off away from your uncle (no offence meant as he's family:o)
Go for it with the new diary - its a new part of your life now, so mark it with a shiny new thread for us:T
Amazing overpayment in 3 months, I'd love to manage that! I decided this morning to get going with surveys again - mainly to earn amazon vouchers to use for Xmas spends. I have £30 with shop&scan that I'll just save, nearly £10 on valued opinions, nearly at £5 on mysurve....and at a grand £7.60 on onepoll:rotfl: I shall keep at it!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi orangefairy
So glad the job is going well
And well done on the Christmas savings, we save £20 a week through OHs work so we don't even notice it and it will be paid at beginning of December should be nearly £1000 by then, it's the first year he's worked here so it's the first time we've done it but it does mean we can really enjoy Christmas and maybe treat ourselves in the sales
Hope you have a good day xx***** on the road to debt freedom *****

No offence taken Pixie. I don't see him as family now after the way they have treated me.
I think you are right about a new diary........just need to think of a new diary name!
Bella- what a great way to save. When January comes I will start saving a set amount a month I think. I don't think I will spend as much time on surveys now i am full time. My hours as home have become more precious.
Finished my first full week at work today and I am looking forward to going back so that's a good sign!
Having a lazy day today while hubby is working. Then early night as we need to travel 3 hours to longleat tomorrow morning. We are hoping to feed the giraffes in their new attraction! So excited. Other than the fuel it is MSE as we have free ticket after they treated us badly last year :-) xOrange Fairy

Now it's your turn to come visit somewhere near me:D
I haven't been to Longleat for years and years..the last visit must have been when the girls were little and their favourite bit was Postman Pats Village:rotfl: Not sure it'll hold the same attraction now they're 15 and 13;)
Enjoy your lazy day today and day out tomorrow:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Hello all
The job is going really well. I am finding full time a little knackering! But now the kids are in school we can get into more of a routine I hope!
Money wise we are okay. The paycheck just gone wasnt a full wage cheque as it was just 2 weeks fulltime
It meant that I was about £300 us this month with the holiday i got paid.
Wont be making a huge difference to us this month. I needed £160 to catch up with what we owed for ballet lessons, £50 for longleat spends, £50 on uniform, £80 for DD2's birthday party.Plus we have her birthday presents to get!
So a bit of an odd month I think. Will have to see how hubby is doing with money too.
He has informed me we need to spend about £1000 on repairs to the car
I will start my new diary at the beginning of October when i get my first proper wage cheque!
Exciting times.
Loan now down to £2979! Sub 3k!!!!!
Off to pack a picnic for a day out tomorrow xxxOrange Fairy
