Hi Bella - how old are your children? It is hard to find a balance between doing lots of things and not spending the earth!

Tomorrow i am looking after my brother and sister (they are 10 and 6) so i will be taking DD's to my Mums big house to have a water fight in the garden. A free day the kids will love!

Looked for more jobs today - nothing new i can see. Will keep looking :D

Nothing much else to report other than.....

£100 overpayment on my loan! Woohoo!!

    Off to change signature............

    Morning orangefairy

My boys are 7 and nearly 10 months I agree it's so hard to get the right balance. I work evenings 6 til 10 so means I can do stuff with the kids during the day, we wanted to go on a couple of nice days out over the holidays so tried to book a couple of days off work last night so we don't have to rush back, I asked for any days during the holidays, but I was told sorry fully booked the whole of the holidays booked! It's a nightmare trying to get time off you can't ask for a specific day you just have to ask when can I have a day off arghhh right my rant is over ha

The water fight sounds good, me and DS are gonna bath the dog with the hosepipe later when the sun comes out a bit to dry him, no doubt DS will end up soaking he won't be able to resist.

Have a great day and well done on the overpayment xx

Aww a little 10 month old :D I have a nephew who is 15 months and i adore him! My girlies are 9 and nearly 7. I wanted another child as i am from a big family and 2 just doesnt seem enough or complete to me but hubby isn't keen. He would if i really wanted to but i respect his reasons for not wanting to.

Thats rubbish about your work and time off :( I have a week off end of August and hubby has a week at the beginning and then half of my week off too! Will try to go camping that half week!

Great day today looking after my bro and sis. Mum had for the paddling pool ready. We spent the morning preparing a whole pack of water balloons and then after lunch the kids had a huge fight with guns, balloons and the pool. My bro came round with my little niece and they all had such a good time. A completely free day which they thoroughly enjoyed. (free other than the 50p pack of balloons! :D)

Also i had breakfast at Mums, DD's and i had lunch there and then when my Mum got home she fed my girls dinner too so a very MSE day.

Hubby is now making his yummy cheesy leek bake for dinner. A bargain meal to make. Hopefully there will be enough for lunch tomorrow

Rubbish on the survey front at the mo. 50p yesterday and nothing today. Though i have had some really good weeks so i can't complain!

Sorry to hear you had horrible pregnancies and an awful labour :( I would love to be able to say I am completely happy with our decision of staying with 2 but I'm not. It makes sense financially but my fear is it will be a decision I regret and it will turn into an ache that will make me unhappy :(. Hubby's reasons are good ones, we don't own our own house yet, he wants to be able to afford to give our DD's great experiences and holidays, money for the future and to have time for each other. I supoose we had the kids young so that means the advantage is having time for us later on - if we have another we lose that advantage. There would be an 8 year age gap from our youngest. Will just have to get on with it and fill the void with work and holidays and see the silver lining!

On to other things! I meant to say I didn't get the Pharmacy trainee job. She said I interviewed well and was a runner up so she would let me know if there was a refusal or references didn't add up etc. I had a second interview for my last one as i got to the last 2. While it gives me confidence it also makes it more gutting!

While being upset about it i know that really it is for the best regarding my little ladies. Not so much for the full time part but for the amount of study around the full time job and the 6 weeks away a year. If it was meant to be it would be!

Day at work today so hubby took DD's to the beach and then they played with friends all afternoon. Came home to dinner on the table. Now checking job sites before going for a cuddle with DD2 who is watching a film :D

    An MSE day today.

Lazy morning and then made a pcinic. Walked into the village and found a geocache with the girls. We then had a picnic by the river while dipping out feet in. Followed by a play in the park before swimming (DD2 has her club and DD1 went for a swim). So all in all spent £2.15 today! Not bad at all.

Need to decide what to have for tea though....haven't planned for today.........

Sounds like you had a lovely mse day yesterday. I think the good weather makes it so much easier to find cheap/fun things to do.

Must be difficult with the decision on how many children to have. You are still young though so there is still time if your OH changed his mind.

Sorry to hear about the job as well but keep trying. Hopefully you will find one soon.

Hey Wendz. With the ages of our children I really do feel it is now or never....so looks like it will be never. Will have to dote on my nieces and nephews and look forward to my grandchildren! :D

Went for another interview this morning. For a company that is moving down here. It is a job similar to what I do now but with a growing company, full time and with an exciting product! The interview went well. They had 108 applicants and she is interviewing 9. I was the first and the last will be next Thursday. I hope she doesn't forget about me next week! I really want this job more than the others I have gone for!

Would be great debt busting wise as it gives me another 400-500 a month!

Fingers crossed. Third time lucky I hope!
