Merry Christmas to all, from where we are too (tho its not Christmas here yet) ;)

Decided to give Gulf-Coast Florida a whirl for Christmas, and quite like it... certainly nice to have a pool, a hot tub, temperatures in the 20's, wifi and walmart... what more could you need? ;)

Also loved having 'gold status' (AA) at MAN the other day too... queue for miles for baggage drop but no-one in the business class line - completing the "express challenge" has paid for itself already I reckon :)

We also booked our 2013 getaway a few days ago... MAN --> ORD; few days, then ORD --> DEN; then a dozen or so days, then LAS --> MAN. Majority is new to us so looking forward to it :)

Echo what ferf says anyways - have a good 'un all! :D

I take it you haven't been for a couple of years. Flight prices have been up at £600-£700 for the last couple of years.

All I can suggest is try Kayak - set up a daily alert for the dates you are looking for (you can set it up for a few different dates), and you will receive email updates on the prices of flights with all airlines.

i wouldnt hold out much hope to be honest, unless you strike lucky with an indirect flight.

we were hoping for something good to come out of the VA sales, but they were hopeless.

we got a great deal for Dubai at easter, so heading there instead. flights were just under 400pp with VA - so spent the remainder (that we'd earmarked for a US trip) on a lovely suite in a great hotel.

with the miles we'll get for that, added to the 24k we already have accrued, we might be able to book for LV in September in a reward seat sale, or miles + money trip.

we've been offered an upgrade the next time we visit Vdara, so will keep an eye out for deals booking with the hotel direct with a basic room - if we can get something about £60/70 per night, we might be able to do a Sept for just over 500pp.

and that's the only way we can do it, i think
  • went nov 2008 and may 09, will do the alerts and keep my eye out cheers
  • Hi gang,

I am getting married in June next year in Vegas and would like to have recommendations of anyone that has used the mobile hair and beauty professionals that come to your room.

    Any recommendations, gratefully recieved :)
