Intended to fly with VA at their sale price of £591 from Manchester which we saw Christmas Eve, but by the time we checked our dates are OK with work on Thursday, Virgin had increased their price to £645.
Looks like we are going with BA from Heathrow at £596 now instead.
Shame, I prefer Virgin but the extra £50 each swung it.
Have you tried booking though expedia with the 'flight + hotel' option. Just choose a hotel for part of your trip, say the first night, and direct flights with Virgin are around the £530 mark for February and March, then just don't use the hotel booking when you arrive, unless want to.
I've done this several times in the past with no problem, And you can also get cashback through sites like quidco which will knock a bit more off it.

Hi all! I hope everyone had a good Xmas.
I was just wondering if anyone knew any offers on hotels.
I am going to Vegas on the 3rd April for 1 week, this will be our 3rd time in Vegas. We have stayed at the MGM Grand and the Paris hotel before. We are currently looking at prices for a 4 star hotel and the prices are coming out at £600 for a 4* hotel.
We usually pay around £400, so was just wondering if there are any offers about at the moment or are we booking too early?0 -

Been playing myVegas on facebook since October and have just redeemed for a two night stay in a suite at the Mirage :T
Just need to decide where to stay for the other 3 nights, fortunately we go in June so still more time to earn points for more freebies.
Re-reading the whole thread for hotel ideas, up to page 40.....0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYhey everyone, just to say I'm currently ploughing through the first posts (offline), updating all the information, tidying it up and adding bits as I go along... (there's a LOT!)
obviously there are a lot of Vegas-guide websites out there, and we want to keep things linked to this thread/website... would it be an idea to create an MSE mini website to house all the info which is on the front pages, on Wordpress for example? or is that just complicating things further?0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYAnyone know when you book a harrahs property via Expedia and it says continental breakfast included do they issue buffet passes or is it something else,Thx0

I think condensing the front page is a really good idea. I reckon anything that is easier for people to locate and click on, say for instance happy hours or Spa's would really help.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

This hotel + flights thing on expedia is a better deal it seems than booking seperate?
Looking at the 26th or 27th or October for 6 nights works out for the direct flights from VA from London £656 i think it was but with a hotel (strat) its £740 with direct flights for the 6 nights?
Is it worth everyone checking the expeida flight + hotel thing someone mentioned higher up or is it just luck?Halifax loan - 6800 - 198 DD a month

maybe what I can do is update/edit the front page for now, and meanwhile in the background, put all the info into a website - that gives me a bit more time to put it together, and can then 'remove' the long posts on the front page and just have a link to the website.0
