VALUE FOR MONEYI realise its recommended on the first page but just wondering what people think about about the MRB Booklet. Is it worth having and easy to use the vouchers?
We think so - but we normally go 2x year and have a car...but for $37, you don't have to use a lot of the vouchers to cover your cost, at least...it's worth looking through this year's vouchers and determining which you would definately use - if the value of those comes to $37 then you know it's a good deal for you. I guess only problem is some of the vouchers can be found other places...but principle is ok.
We have never had an issue using the vouchers...several do require you to be a member of the players club to redeem though...obviously free to join.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Hi everyone
I have been looking at hotels now & again as we don't travel until 6th sept (10 nights for our honeymoon)
I want to split it up, so have checked lowcostusa and found the following
5 nights Ballys (basic room) £250
5 nights Cosmo (City room) £649
Do these prices seem decent to any of you guys? Or would you recommend changing the hotels? If so any reason in particular?
Thanks in advance

We are currently looking for hotels for our honeymoon in 12 weeks. The city rooms at Cosmopolitan for April are approx £85 per night. So £649 for 5 nights seems quite expensive to me, if I were you I would hold off until June time?Lucky wins - Rituals Beauty Advent Calendar; Starbucks Coffee & £20 Gift Card; Amazing Hen Weekend at Dunblane Hydro; Heat Magazine Book Bundle; Le Crueset Goodies :j

Lowcostusa seems to be the go-to place for higher-end hotels...not sure if it's the best place to price up Bally's...have you checked

for your dates?
That said...we like Bally's, but would never suggest it for a honeymoon...wouldn't say it's particularly special...if on a budget, then sure...but Vegas rooms can be really great value, and you could get quite a lot for your money for a special occasion by looking around.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Can I suggest that people consider Downtown Las Vegas in their planning too. We stayed in the Golden Nugget for 2 nights last year and it was great, it had The Tank, which is the name for their pool which has a shark tank in the middle of it and a water slide and it was a good quality hotel with No resort fees. It is located right on Fremont Street which is great for the Fremont Street Experience which is an 800ft long arched roof along the street that has light and music shows every hour in the evenings (search on Youtube for it). The Golden Nugget has a night club with a balcony over Fremont Street which is a great place to watch the show too.
If you are worrying about missing out on the Vegas experience because you're not on the strip, then trust me it will add to your Vegas Experience. The other good thing is there isn't an 8 lane highway through the middle of Downtown, lol!.....0 -
thanks for all the replies.
Our budget for the 10 nights is £1000 or as close to it as poss.
We want to stay in 2 different hotels, preferably 5 nights in each.
For the 1st 5 I was thinking, Monte Carlo, Mirage, TI, Planet Hollywood, NY NY and going for a basic room, and trying an $50 upgrade (i wont be too bothered if it doesnt work, as we want to stay in a more expenisve/higher end hotel for the latter 5 night)
For the 2nd 5 I was thinking Cosmo, Bellagio, Wynn, or even Venetian/Palazzo
We might look at 7 nights in an OK hotel then 3 nights in a higher end one if it works better with our budget.
So any opinions would be appreciated. We have stayed in MGM & Encore before, so we have a basic knowledge of hotel locations on the strip etc.
Oh meant to add I personally didnt like Freemont/Downtown area when we were last there as I just didnt feel safe at night, I will certainly visit during the day but I worry about pretty much everything & anything & just know its not for me lol
Thanks again guys :beer:0 -
WEATHERWas just looking at the website / menu for Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay (sounds delicous so away to buy a Restaurant.Com voucher now!), however I noticed they do a happy hour early evening so that's now on the list of things to check out this trip.
Was wondering if there are any other places that can be recommended for their happy hours? :beer:Lucky wins - Rituals Beauty Advent Calendar; Starbucks Coffee & £20 Gift Card; Amazing Hen Weekend at Dunblane Hydro; Heat Magazine Book Bundle; Le Crueset Goodies :j

That's odd, I thought the pedestrianised area felt safe and there were none of the guys handing out calling cards for prostitutes that you seem to get every 20 yards on the strip......0
