VALUE FOR MONEYThanks Lesley & Ferf!
I've already booked Harrah's through ebookers and stated that there are 3 of us, so we have been charged appropriately. I've asked for a room with 2 beds. So are you saying that there should be a sofa bed there too Lesley? I would be interested to speak to your contact please.
there wont be a sofa bed at harrahs just 2 queens, may not even be much room for any other kind of bed, blow up or otherwise, would go with a rollaway personally if there is space, the rollaways are very comfortable and you may not get charged if you phone housekeeping from the room rather than ask the front desk0 -

My fiancee would love to see Penn & Teller and I'd love to surprise him with tickets, has anyone been? Is it a good show, are the tickets worth the money?0

they also do a meet & greet after the show, so maybe you could do something with that too?0 -

You can usually get ticket for around $49.50. Try www.travelzoo.com
Hubby enjoyed it, I fell asleep as per usual. Yes there is a meet and greet after the show so don't forget your camera.0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYThank you photome for your reply.
Currently looking at a mgm "Complimentary upgrade to an Executive Suite" offer, and the terms are confusing me.
"Complimentary upgrade is based on availability upon booking. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the spa and a 20% service fee will be added to all services and upgrades."
Does this mean they will charge a extra 20% to the rates I am being quoted upon check in? Apologies if this seems a dumb question.
Total rate for 5 nights is $285 + tax $34.20 = $319.20
Therefore, $25 resort fee = $28 after tax = 5 nights = $140.00
Grand Total = $459.20 (would this be my total?).
Thanks.0 -

Can you post the full deal so we can look? I would read that as 20% service fee on the spa and anything else you might bolt onto the package (if there are options for anything else to be added by you) not the room...but hard to say with just the bit you have copied.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Hopefully this is show it.
It is a smartvegas offer entitled "FREE Executive Suite Upgrade Promotion at the MGM Grand! - From: $55/nt".
I would like to stay there for 6 nights, but the offer is not available for Friday 23rd November. I would gladly then book just a standard room for that Friday night and hope that I could get a late check out or early check in to switch rooms for the last night before flying home. A bit of messing about, but I think it would be worth it for the larger room for 5 of the night.
I have phoned MGM twice to ask this question, but have gotten no where on both attempts.0 -

Hi - I do think the 20% service charge relates to just the spa.
You could of course book a different room for the Friday as you suggest - you may end up with a period you didn't have a room but could leave your cases with the bell desk.
That offer is showing as available on 23rd for me though? Do you mean that they have confirmed that there are no upgrades available for that night? As it says that the upgrade is based on availability at the time of booking?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYThanks for that.
If you put Sunday 18th November in for 5 nights you get 4 options. The Executive King Suite comes up the same price as a Grand King Room.
If you put Sunday 18th November in for 6 night you get only 2 options. The Executive King Suite is then not available.
Just need to decide if the Executive King Suite is worth going for and having to change rooms, or if to just book a standard Grand King Room for all 6 nights.0
