VALUE FOR MONEYah, ok, I see now.
personally, I would not want to change rooms for my last day...somehow I misread and it was the first night you were thinking about booking a different room to then check into the suite for the remainder...but I can see how it might be worth it if the suite is a lot bigger...though will be a big let-down for the last night...but maybe you won't mind by then. At least all your stuff will be packed early and won't have to do it the last day.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

We went two years ago and absolutely loved it, we're planning to go again next year. I assume you've seen them on tv? If you like their telly stuff then you'll love the show"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

VALUE FOR MONEYThanks Lesley & Ferf!
I've already booked Harrah's through ebookers and stated that there are 3 of us, so we have been charged appropriately. I've asked for a room with 2 beds. So are you saying that there should be a sofa bed there too Lesley? I would be interested to speak to your contact please.
The contact is at the Platinum Hotel. Sorry, I don't think I was very clear. They certainly have larger suites with sofas. I doubt the Harrah's room with have a sofa.
Sounds like you won't be charged for the extra adult since you booked it like that. Would be a bit unfair of them to add more fees for the occupancy when you arrive when you have booked for 3.
Drop me a pm if you would like the email address of the contact at The Platinum Hotel. Could be worth considering if you are thinking about changing the hotel. Make sure your booking is cancellable first though.
Enjoy your trip whatever you decide. :beer:0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYDepends what you go to Vegas for....as for weather SFO was another suggestion-same applies there.
I'm actually taking my first non US holiday in years next month -it's going to seem very strange
Sorry, didn't mean to slate the suggestion, just that the poster was looking for a bit of sun while away and I don't think they will get the heat they are after. I've been in Atlantic City about 18 years ago. I enjoyed it at the time but after being in Vegas I think I would see it in a different light. I wasn't there in the evening either, and I hear the general away from the boardwalk area can become a bit iffy in the evenings. I'd stop by if I was in the area, but wouldn't plan a trip around it if that makes sense.
We do go to the US every year, but we always go somewhere else for a week or so early summer, so we still tend to see other places. Hope you enjoy it wherever you are going :beer:0 -
We are wanting to go to the fashion outlet and premium outlet North, do you think it would be worth renting a car for the day? We have a quote for about 40$ for the day. I'm finding it really hard to plan the public transport.0

no idea if its worth it or not,as we always have a car
But there is a guy over on Vegasmessageboard who knows all the bus routes and times etc etc, so might be worth posting the question over there

of course there may be someone just as knowledgeable on here0 -

Not so sure they wont be charged as most 3rd person supplements are added at check in/out AFAIK.
Even if they are not charged the supplement they could still be charged for the rollaway unless housekeeping forget to add it, which they often do0 -

to us it would be...I guess if you are staying at one of the hotels that the SDX stops at then maybe not, but it would be $40 well spent to me not to have the faff of carrying bags around...does that quote include insurance waivers? And the other thing is petrol - pebbles posted about this before...you may have to buy a tank of petrol if renting through a UK 3rd party - which you clearly will not use in one day for what you want to do...but if the price doesn't include insurance waivers then it may jump when you get there unless you have car hire insurance another way.
Found pebble's post about the petrol thing with a suggestion

if you go to googlemaps and put in your starting point and ending point - and choose the public transport options it will show you the routes available and estimated times.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
