Ok so less than three weeks to go till our three night full on trip! I have a list of things I'm looking for:
Ugg Boots
Hunter Wellies
Converses
Poss iPad
Any info as to prices/best place to buy? And for the iPad is it worth it or stick to the UK? Are the outlets cheaper or not really?
I'm excited to share this knowledge with my husband as he REALLY loves shopping :rotfl: thanks in advance!
UGGs were one of the things I was hoping to buy when there a couple of weeks ago. I checked the miracle mile shops, town square, fashion show mall and south outlets and the cheapest I could find classic tall boots for was $165 (south outlets but none in my size) in all other stores classic talls were $195+. I came home with no UGGs :-(0 -
Does anyone have any experience of 3 people sharing a room? I'm staying at Harrah's next month for a week with 2 mates (all male). Originally, there were due to be 4 of us in 2 rooms, but when 1 withdrew, we were left with an awkward number so we decided to go with just the one room so that nobody feels excluded. Now that the time is drawing nearer, the idea of "top 'n' tailing" is becoming less appealing and I was wondering if anyone here would know whether a room with 3 beds is something that might be obtainable? Alternatively, I'm considering taking an inflatable mattress.
Thanks!0 -

You should be able to request a rollaway bed ....a quick google states there is a surchage of around $15 per night.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Thanks Triker. I'd say that $105 to rent a rollaway bed for a week is a bit steep. We didn't pay much more than that for the room. An inflatable mattress is £7, so that wins for me I reckon.

VALUE FOR MONEYThank you luci, I will have a look tomorrow at your suggestions.
I will remember to factor in the taxi cost, but at the same time it could be good to visit somewhere different.
I will look at Bills and Ballys (just need to check if some of their rooms are pet free, hopefully they will answer my tweet).
Also is there a differnce in south or north tower as the $ difference is minimal?
Would anyone know if Bills, Ballys, Monte Carlo are on a par with MGM (just using it as a comparison)?
I know I would be happy at MGM (stayed there November 2009 and start of May 2011 - great rates and 2 for 1 on food - iirc luci you were there the same time as I am sure I remember reading your trip report), but I think I need to stop going back to the same places and to try something different.
Finally is the walk at night fine back to Carriage House. I could push the money for here or Vdara as I would happily just make the most of the microwave and have porridge for breakfast thus saving 'breakfast money from my spends pot'
Regarding Black Friday I was there for it in 2009 and grabbed some massive bargains. TC luggage is 20kg and I will take taking a very empty / light case out.0 -

if the Vdara is a viable option, then i'd definitely go for there - don't forget the resort fee. we've been to LV 3 times and stayed here each time as it's just perfect for us... really considered staying somewhere different last time, but just got pulled back to Vdara! it's a great location, pretty luxurious kind of place... seem to remember seeing some deals at the moment where you can get free dining credit.
when hotels offer free dining credit (eg. $50), is that per night or per stay?0 -
Well that's Vegas booked. 28th August for 14 nights, 7 at Golden Nugget followed by 7 at Ballys.
Gonna get hitched while there, is there anything we need to do apart from book the Chapel and go see the County Court.

Found it for about £620 for the full week. In theory this would be over budget. However, $ I would save on breakfast / food makes it a option, but is at the top of my budget (in theory max £500 for week).
Is it that good a place secretmachines? Would just be the Deluxe Suite.
I might just stay here part of the week to help reduce the overall cost.
1 deal I have seen for my dates has some nights at $99 plus fees and taxes, with $75 dining credit based on a minimum 2 night stay.0 -

ThanksThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Thanks for all your shopping replies, is there a way to get discount at Nordstrom? I know that outlets etc have coupons for their stores and that Macy's has an International Visitors discount but anything for Nordstrom?0
