SHOPPINGAnd if you are "caught" supplying alcohol to minors it's a crime. It's also a crime for them to have alcohol in public.
Having said that, don't go down the fake ID routes for the bars and casinos. Not worth the hassle.0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYhas anyone ever seen Sheena Easton in Vegas at SouthPoint she has been playing there for years on random dates but seems to be doing a lot more dates next year
only $30
If she was in the UK I wouldnt go but its Vegas and it might be a fun night out0 -
SHOPPINGIt sounds like I'm quite similar, every year I try to find an alternative destination that ticks my boxes.....sun,gambling,shopping,food n drink, golf, not far from airport and yes every year Vegas keeps ticking those boxes! Was thinking of doing a 2 centre or a cruise and stay to include Vegas but not coming up with much.
As for work colleagues it's a bit of a standing joke as to where i'll be going on holiday every year but do i care....nope!
Packages involving cruises and Vegas are pretty popular in Canada. They usually only are available in May and Octoberish. It's turnaround season for the cruises to Alaska.
I've done four nights in Vegas and then cruised from San Diego up to Vancouver. It was May. In October it's Vancouver to San Diego or LA and then onto Vegas and air back to Vancouver. You may not find these packages on Expedia, etc. because they are more aimed at North American markets.
It wasn't a bad holiday, would have been better with a different travelling companion.0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYAnyone know who is on at CP end of April ( after 29th) and early May.
I can find Shania Twain (would like to see her) dates up to April 10th but nothing after that unless I am missing something0 -

They've probably not announced anything yet, Shania Twain is doing all the dates between the 'special guests'. Am just waiting for the Buble residency so the missus can realise a dream0 -

has anyone been to, and recommend, Miami? Package prices there don't seem toooo bad and it should be a little warmer than here at easter time!
I know this is the LV forum, but recommendations from fellow Vegasites will be much more appreciated
We went to Miami about 4 years ago - I didn't like it that much, but we stayed downtown (close to the Bayside mall on the water which was pleasant in the evenings as it had bars and restaurants). We went over to South Beach 2 evenings, and that was nice, Lincoln Road was nice in the evenings. We went on a cruise, which was the main reason for our stay. We did one night pre cruise and 3 after. We didn't have a car. We went to Fort Lauderdale the following year on multi stop trip around Florida, and managed to get to Sawgrass Mills then.
I suggest trying to stay out at the beach if you can. We thought hotels were quite expensive, but managed to stay at the Marriott downtown free with reward points.0 -

I've been to LV and Miami (but definitely not an expert for either location!)
The weather will be warm and pleasant in Miami. On South Beach there are loads of bars but some of the drinks are very expensive
Loads of great people watching opportunities :T
What did you want to get out of it? A week on the beach, shopping, something else?0 -

Thanks Karen :-) ... I don't want to move away from the LV thread here, but in short just a week away at the end of March, somewhere with a bit of sun, relaxing, shopping, good food, easy to get around preferably no car, minimal transfer at the other end - well that's Vegas then!! If only it was on the east coast!0
