VALUE FOR MONEYwhat have people's experiences been of choosing seats online with VA, with all the refurbs?
we fly in 3.5 days, and sporadically have been able to select seats for the outward bound flight - more not than often though. don't remember it being like that before?
hoping, if we have the old layout, that the little ECO section near the front becomes available in the next day or two
... I remember it did last time.
the inward bound flight is the new refurbed layout and can select seats no problem.0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYthat's interesting, I thought it was 24-hours before that you could select seats...will need to start checking obsessively much sooner now.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Prime Rib there is to die for.kittykat100 wrote: »Hi Vegasites!
We have booked to get married next June, Flights,Wedding, Hotel, car all booked... just one thing.
We haven't got a clue where to go for our Wedding Breakfast. We are having 6 guests and we are getting married at 4pm.
I am a bit of a foodie, but the hubby to be is your typical meat and two veg man. Where can we go that is special enough for a wedding meal without being obscenely expensive and will cater for the steak lovers?
Any advice be totally grateful

really? i've been always been able to select seats, pretty much straight after booking...
i think they only get confirmed in the 24hr OLCI window, but have always been able to pick and choose seats on the map for weeks/months beforehand0 -

historically yes, but not recently with Virgin...wait, am I confusing routes again? It's via Gatwick I'm talking about...and maybe it is only PE...I keep getting confused.

but sadly, it's at CC.
It would probably help to know what sort of price range they are looking at since 'obscenely expensive' is a bit relative.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
CASINOS
We have twice eaten at the Steakhouse at CC and the place is is really nice, service was excellent. Very much a feel of a gentleman's club, and you can see the cuts of meat aging in the humidor? So what if it's in CC. The only problem I have with steaks in Vegas is that they are actually too big. I had the same thing at Austins, by the time you are half way through a nice rib-eye or NY strip it goes cold. A $34 Fillet Mignon at MAG is much better in my opinion.but sadly, it's at CC.

But if you like steak I agree with FroggittThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Re people liking Vegas for different things and some not liking it at all.
My brother and SIL are going to Vegas next week for 9 nights. They don't do sunbathing, don't gamble (not even the slots), aren't foodies and not much into shopping. They are going just to chill out and a holiday resort in Europe would be their idea of hell.
Will they like it? They must do as this is their third visit although they haven't been for 5 years.
The are staying in a 750 suite at Mandalay Bay and a wraparound suite at the Cosmopolitan.0 -

You can choose seats as soon as you book.
Virgin only release about 60% of seats and the rest (like bulkheads and the small EC cabin) are avilable 24 hours before the flight.
No seat is confirmed until you board, they can move you if they need to.0 -

Not at the moment you cant, and havent been able to for a few months. Just last week they did start releasing seats 90 days before departure
PS
Never got to the bottom of why you put doing washing and the Orleans together?0
