The food was no worse than others on the way out, but admittedly poor on way back, they ran out of alcoholic drinks on way out, but we were picking up a car so it didn't bother us, soft drinks were fine.
The seat back entertainment had a problem showing films, but I was either asleep, reading or listening to ipod, so also no problem.
The plane itself is not that old, just a tired cabin, reading some of the reviews, I was expecting, gaffa tape, smells and technical problems. None of which happened, it was on time leaving, on time coming home.
All the staff were lovely, both flights.
Will definitely do it again.
Thanks for that, don't suppose it will affect our holiday it's just the reviews leave a lot to be desired!0 -

Thats because it does leave a lot to be desired, The whole experience is crap, take a cushion if you want to sit on something soft because there is no padding left in the seats.
having said that Virgin is only the worst of all the economy flights to Vegas, none of them are great
just remenber it is only a means to an end0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYWe fly VA on Friday, will review when we get checked in at the hotel!0

So sounds slightly barking to switch it back on again.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
We have twice eaten at the Steakhouse at CC and the place is is really nice, service was excellent. Very much a feel of a gentleman's club, and you can see the cuts of meat aging in the humidor? So what if it's in CC. The only problem I have with steaks in Vegas is that they are actually too big. I had the same thing at Austins, by the time you are half way through a nice rib-eye or NY strip it goes cold. A $34 Fillet Mignon at MAG is much better in my opinion.
But if you like steak I agree with Froggitt
Yup the downside of TS is that its at CC. But you dont have to stay there!!!
TS feels totally out of context in CC......its enclosed so you wouldnt know where you were if you had been transported there.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
CASINOSI agree that the restaurant itself is really nice (though there are others we prefer, not necessarily for a wedding though - Envy and Austins come to mind), just think that getting to the restaurant as part of a wedding celebration might be a bit less nice than some other options is all...
BTW I had the Hanger Steak at MAG for $20 twice last week and it was as tender as anything. Just wish they would dump those silly frittes, you can only eat them with your fingers, which is not cool.:DThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
HOTELSI thought they suspended it cos they didnt know what plane would be flying on a date, and whether it would be upgraded or not, and therefore what seats would be on the plane.
So sounds slightly barking to switch it back on again.
I think it was a combination of the two, new planes and new system.
Either way it's worth checking regularly if it's important to you.0 -

It was suspended as they were upgrading their systems.
You still wont know if you get a refubed plane untill you checkin 24hrs before your flight.
currently 3 out of the 7 have had a refit with the 4th due any time.
This will make the Gatwick fleet up there with the best of them.0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYmy Fri outward bound flight is showing the old layout and can't select seats.
a week later, the inward bound flight is showing the new layout and i can select seats.0 -
CASINOSif you cant select on the outbound but can on the inbound then the 60% of pre allocated seats must have been reached on the outbound leg.0
