Booked for 8 weeks time long weekend just me and the Hubster yay!!!!! Fourth time but haven't been for three years, will stay at the Bellagio as we're creatures of habit and lurvvvvve it there... Any tips on restaurants etc seen as its been a while? We still haven't been to Fremont St so that is a def, better day or night? Virgin rookies flying from Manc (used some miles) so again any pointers on getting free Upper Class upgrade much appreciated :rotfl: Bellagio is coming out quite pricey at the mo not sure whether to wait to book the hotel or if there's any deals or companies out there anyone's seen? Thanks in advance!!

If you have never flown with VS before there will be no upgrade. Anyway, if you are in economy they would only up you to the next cabin, that would be premium economy. It is all about status and loyalty to one brand. Watch "Up in the Air". If you are flying from MAN the Escape lounge there is an OK place to while away your time, and with a free Taste card you get 241 entry.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Night, without question...you don't really get the feel of Fremont St in the day...the surrounding area may seem a bit dodgy but it's fine right along Fremont Street.

worth checking the VivaVision schedule to see if there are any that particularly appeal to you so you can time your visit accordingly.

too early for the schedule for late Oct/early Nov but you can get an idea what shows are on and check back in month.

Bellagio is running expensive for those of us in North America. I was just quoted $848 for four nights (I travel by myself, so got dinged by the single supplement) It looked great pricewise online but the prices are based on double occupancy.

Planet Hollywood has some interesting prices right now.

Where are you getting your quotes from? It can be expensive for those who are not in North America. With the advent of online booking it doesn't matter where you are located. There is nothing to stop you from booking with https://www.lowcostusa.co.uk or any other online company as far as I'm aware, but check their T&C's.

I also don't know what you mean by "single supplement" unless you are looking at a site that quotes per person.

Booking direct with the hotel and with many online sites the price quoted is per room regardless of whether there are one or two people occupying it. Obviously that makes it more expensive per head than if two people were sharing.

Any trip reports from our recent visitors?

I do enjoy reading them and getting nuggets of info and tips of things I might try out.

  • Looking for Hotel/Flights to Vegas for end of October from Manchester.
I'm trying out lowcostusa and a few others but only getting flights with 1 or more stops, is it because the time of year or has anyone got any other recommendations for sites to look at? I'd really want direct.
    Thanks.

Virgin fly direct from Manchester but not every day, so maybe you are searching for flights on days that there is no outbound or return flight?

Dont know if this has been mentioned before (probably has and I have missed it) but Macys in the Fashion Show Mall do a 10% visitor discount (excludes cosmetics). They carry all of the main brands I like in the US so last night was a happy shopping trip for me!
