VALUE FOR MONEYWell, almost time for us. Been a bit of a countdown this year
We leave tomorrow morning. Manage to book one of the pairs of seats near the back of the aircraft so we've hopefully got good space.
Just got the hand luggage to pack. Best go get organised and get to bed. Will try to do some updates while we're there. We're at Platinum from the 7th, so probably then. That's if we're not too busy making cocktails and taking them to the pool lol.
Quite excited, wonder how well I will sleep tonight0 -

It's maybe assumed, but go for a generic, will be way way cheaper and same active ingredients...we always buy headache tablets in the US.
2x100 generic at Walmart = $4

1x100 Tylenol Extra at Walmart = $8.72.
we absolutely swear by these headache tablets too

and the Equate severe cold and flu tablets (seriously soooo much better than anything they sell here - people at work ask me 'do you have any of those magic yellow pills you gave me last time I had a cold?').
I'm really concerned that I have such an opinion about what tablets to buy...I think I'm turning into my mother again.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

CASINOSShort film of BA coming into Vegas last night. Sorry about the watermark but had to do a quick convert of file format and short of time now. Just starting to pack for home. This might take a bit of time to load
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/9017/orycwqnmvsmfnoizzgmpjo.mp4The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYCan anyone help me with the best way to get to the Orleans please? Am assuming we can get the shuttle but not sure where from on the strip! Planning to go on saturday night to hopefully not be too in the thick of labor day madness0

CASINOSIs it just me or is the Orleans a bit of a comedown compared to other strip hotels.
I mean, who wants to do washing when they are away? Vegas is all about excess, why spend and fly that far to stay in a basic hotel...0 -

What do you mean by do washing?
I stay at Orleans every trip for many reasons
its usually comped
love the casino
great and cheap food
rooms are big with a sofa
easy access and easy self parking with no long trek
great pool
haver never been charged the resort fee
coffeemaker in the room
OH yes my wife won $400 this year on her second spin playing $1.50 a spin
BUT have never done any washing in Vegas
edit to add
I dont stay there the whole trip I always do at least 2 hotels but usually 30 -
