i went to the dentist yesterday and have a temporary filling in (long running problem with one particular sensitive tooth which has become worse over the last month or so)... so that has to stay in for a couple of weeks to see if it improves things. just bad timing i'm on hols during that time!
last Vegas trip I had sliced my finger open a couple of days before flying, now this :rotfl:
cocodamol does the trick, but you're not supposed to take that for than about 3 days at a time, so am taking it sparingly! ibuprofen doesn't do much for it, paracetamol extra is better, but not perfect.0 -
SHOPPINGThanks for the input on GR's place. The price isn't the issue (wound up spending $180 on lunch in the spring, it was brilliant).
We'd been to the restaurant in Paris that Ramsey has replaced and really liked it and were ticked that it was gone.
Now, we've just got to figure out where to stay.0 -
i have quite a lot of left over coupons from our recent trip... discount for stratosphere, paris ride, mcdonalds, and lots more..... most can be printed online, but i did have trouble using a couple.... they seemed to prefer the ones out the booklet.... if anybody is looking for any in particular, let me know and i will pop them in the post for you.... most good till end of year, but some end of sept.0

VALUE FOR MONEYmarionsteve wrote: »i shall bear that in mind for next time..... we flew out on refurb, sat upstairs, flew back on a Non refurb one.
how was the upstairs in the refurb? the new layout is showing up online for our return flight, and can book 2 seats one behind the other (unfortunately 2 next to each other not available).
thinking this might be a good idea for the return journey as it'll be a bit quieter?marionsteve wrote: »honestly, get a toofy peg kit... me and hubby have nightmare teeth problems, and we dont travel without a kit. the filling will last a good month if it has to..... hope it doesnt interfere too much with your trip.....
thank youi'll message you if that's ok, don't want to turn this into a medical thread

You can try Tylonal extra, that is supposed to be good. I find most over the counter medicines in the US to be stronger than the ones in the UKThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

SHOPPINGI was going to recommend co-codamol as well. You can get the stronger stuff on prescription, Tracy uses it most day for a back problem, that and Voltoral

Tylenol Extra Strength is basically a 500mg tablet instead of a 325mg.
But the OTC Tylenol or Motrin PM are great for putting you to sleep (basically tylenol or motrin with a built in dose of gravol)0 -

thanks Stoneman, I hope you posted that from poolside with bucks fizz in hand
co-codamol is doing the trick at the moment, took a couple an hour ago and the pain is a lot better. but i know you're not supposed to take it for too long (3 days max i think).
just been reading about Tylonal extra, so will hunt some out when i get there... will call my dentist tomorrow to see what they recommend, i may be able to get a prescription from them.
anyway, sorry for deviating from vegas in the thread, but know you guys are all really helpful and lovely, so hope you don't mind me asking!
back on topic... just been looking at indulging in getting a spa cabana one day while we're at the vdara. we've saved up for the holiday over the course of the year and got a little extra in the pot
7 days and counting!0
