I am guessing if the tasting menu was $135 each, by the time you added drinks and tips you went over $300, being a buffet person or a steak special at Ellis island, can it really be worth £200 plus for a meal for 2

We were well over $200 and that wasn't the tasting menu as there were a lot of courses on it I didn't like.

It takes us under 10 mins to get to the strip (planet hollywood though) from the signature. We never walk through mgm, always go out of the gate and turn left. Much easier than going through the mgm then past that vile bit of the strip by the grand canyon experience thing!

a little off topic, but hopefully you guys will know! can you get stronger over-the-counter painkillers in CVS/Walgreens than you can in the uk?

we leave in a week and i've currently got toothache so wondering if there's something i'll be able to pick up while i'm there

Apparently they've stopped stopped serving alcohol from the galley in economy on VS43. :eek:

i flew back on this flight last week, and to be honest, service was shocking, and you would have thought they had banned it then...i had to ring bell for a drink..... out of all the flights i have had to US, this was the worst.... and the most expensive apart from BA.....still had a great holiday though, and £1600 for two of us for 11 days, including hotel I thought was good value.....I would pay the little extra next time though to fly with BA i think.

cant really help, but I too had toothache just before going.... i bought toofy peg kit which filled a hole I had, and nurofen PLUS, worked a treat... just thought I would mention, becuase if a hole is causing the pain, this kit was great.

ahh thanks
i went to the dentist yesterday and have a temporary filling in (long running problem with one particular sensitive tooth which has become worse over the last month or so)... so that has to stay in for a couple of weeks to see if it improves things. just bad timing i'm on hols during that time!

last Vegas trip I had sliced my finger open a couple of days before flying, now this :rotfl:

cocodamol does the trick, but you're not supposed to take that for than about 3 days at a time, so am taking it sparingly! ibuprofen doesn't do much for it, paracetamol extra is better, but not perfect.

Virgin flight is the pits, BA is just as bad, no way would I pay extra to fly BA.
