Did you ask about the free buffet when you checked in, or did you just use it & see what happened?

We booked in 3 seperate rooms and as we had booked differently thought we would just charge it to the rooms the first morning and see what happened. My Virgin booking didnt have any charges to the room but the netflights one did. We spoke to reception and they then told us Virgin booking did have complimentary buffet but not the other one. The check in clerk never mentioned anything on check in.

I had also charged wifi to the room for 24 hrs and wanted to extend it but couldn't do it from the room so went to reception, thats when I found out I also had free wifi and $30 to spend at Chandelier bar. Not sure why they don't tell you this when you check in. They didn't however make it clear that the comp buffet is for 2 people,we had 2 ad 2 ch in our room so only got 2 comped.

I think one of the main things that annoyed me was trying to sort the sleeping situation. Had booked a wraparound as there were four of us, this room sleeps 4 and is fairly large thought that would be fine. However after checking in at 11 and waiting till 4pm waiting for a certain floor (to be near our family) we were given a completely different floor using seperate lift. They were on 44 west tower we were 25 west tower (requested west to avoid nightclub noise). Our room overlooked day/nightclub...great.... So there is a king bed and then requested roll beds but apparantly only 1 roll bed for that room which is silly as there is plenty of room for 2. I asked where the fourth person is expected to sleep and was told the sofa. Its not a pull out sofa just a regular not so comfy sofa,no extra sheets or bedding in the room. I asked to speak to manager and got a snigger and a "sure", manager said exactly the same only 1 roll bed per room. Off I go to reception again! An hour later I get the extra bed..I felt I spent most of the day checking in and sorting room. Its probably a lot harder as there are more of us,wouldn't expect the same hassle with just 2 checking in.

Sorry got side tracked from the original buffet question!

We did have great views of the fountains but would definately say the higher floor was better.

We had between us a 1 bed terrace, 1 bed terrace suite and a wraparound suite so if anybody has any questions about any of the rooms will hopefully be able to help.

hey bubble13 - cheers for the information.

Were all your room types already guaranteed a view, or did you have to upgrade / tip / request @ check-in?

One of my issues with them was over a rollaway. I had been oinformed before travel that the sofabed was a pull out, it wasnt a pull out bed infact it wasnt a bed just a sofa (same as yours i guess), I phoned down for a rollaway was told yes $30 a night, which i accepted, went out for a few hours, on return still no rollaway, phoned again!! and eventually got one, the upside was that they never added the charge for the rollaway.

I already had had check in problems

Nvh- Hadn't booked rooms with a view but did pay for an upgrade on one of the rooms of $50/night (originally quoted $160/night but managed to go from that to $100 then $50,was trying for free but no go) however this was for a room upgrade from a 1 bed terrace to a 1 bed suite only did this as needed interconnecting rooms and this was "supposedly" the only way we could do it. I did mention that I had stayed before and had had a great view (bit of a porky had a view of city centre last year) and would be good if we could have that again. I tipped him $20 as it took alot of sorting of the 3 rooms at this point we were paying $100/night upgrade then all of a sudden it went to $50. We were however given the impression that it was a wraparound upgrade so when we saw room, knew it wasn't so would have been miffed at $100. Also they ended up being on different floors so wanted my tip back!
We were listening in to conversations at both sides at check in. To the left 2 young lads were getting upgrade quotes whilst on the other side an older well dressed couple with a money clip on the desk were getting their upgrade for free from a very smiley "how much tip am I getting" clerk.

Photome- Didn't get charged for the rollaways, think they were sick of seeing me! I don't complain or moan at them, I kinda of tell them what a great experience I had last year and that I convinced my family to stay there this time and its not what we expected, I'm disappointed etc etc. I did get $75 resort credit, late check out and $50 off each of the other room charges but felt it was a lot of effort and far too much time spent at reception.

I didnt get any of the above thrown in, I didnt complain though or tell them how wonderful they were, thats why I had to pay for my late check out I guess :(

Thanks Bubble. We have 3 rooms on different bookings too. Two booked with Lowcostusa & don't know about the 3rd. Two are Terrace Suites & not sure about the third.

I plan to e mail them before to try & link the booking & get rooms together.

Did you have to pay to get the fridge emptied so you could use it? Where's the nearest place to Cosmo to buy snacks/ drinks/ alcohol?

We emailed before stay to request rooms together but not successful.
In the terrace suites the fridge has space at the top for your own things so didnt get it emptied. Suppose it depends how much room you need but 1 shelf was enough for us. The wraparound also had an empty bottle fridge so made good use of that. It was only the 1 bed that didnt have space in the fridge but they just used next doors. They all have free freezer space so you could chill things in there before they freeze.

We had stayed off strip before staying at Cosmo so had shopped at Walmart but there is a Walgreens just across the road. There is a bridge from floor 2 at Cosmo that goes straight to it. There is also ABC store in miracle mile again just across road. Didnt shop in either but did notice a packet of milk duds was 2.49 in walgreens and I paid 98c in Walmart so would expect most things to be slightly more expensive.

We stayed over a weekend and it was busy so if you are staying midweek it maybe easier to sort rooms together.

The club gets really busy the queue is all legs, heels and hair! It makes me feel really old (im 37),great for people watching....

I've just found out my all-time favourite band (Blink 182) are performing two nights at the pool at Cosmo next month!!!!

I am so, so, SO tempted to book flights out for it. They are performing on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th September.

Can anyone help me find cheap flights? Criteria as follows:

Departing from any UK airport (London preferably but can do others if significantly cheaper)
Duration of stay: 3 - 6 nights as long as 28th and 29th Sept are covered

I don't mind connections (preferably not more than 1 but 2+ is OK if significantly cheaper). I'd even be happy to do the Dublin open jaw trick if significantly cheaper. I also don't care at all about which airline or which model of plane it is.

If I can get anything sub £500 I'd be so tempted to go for it..you only live once!

Try Kayak.co.uk loads of flights Dublin- Vegas with AA for £433 .Some iffy times but playing around you might be able to fly into London. I put in Sept 27th- Oct 1st.
