I've been reading that the Palace Tower is closest to the pools? Would like to be able to easily slip out for an hour or two in the sun each morning... Is Forum that much further it would make a difference?
Palace Tower is quite nice and yes the pool is at the bottom of the lifts to the rooms...Augustus Tower is nicer though and is by far the better option for easy access into and out of the property...staying in the Palace Tower we felt like it took quite a long time to get out of Caesars, not at all the case in the Augustus Tower. We very much preferred the Augustus Tower, though we aren't big pool users (went once when staying in the Palace Tower).

So in via the main valet entrance, turn left, registration, beyond that the lifts to the Augustus Tower.
The Palace Tower is in the lower right-hand corner(ish)...out of the lifts, pool complex is straight in front of you.
Forum Tower access to the pools looks to be via the Appian Way shops, etc. Both Palace and Augustus Tower rooms will be quite a lot larger.
We have had successful upgrades from Forum Tower to Palace and Augustus Towers before...we do have players cards and use them, so that may have helped, but can't hurt to ask.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
CASINOSYes, appreciate the effort when you're having such a tough time there lol :rotfl: I do hope you weren't drunk in the afternoon yesterday
You should ditch the taxis and walk through Bally's and out the sports book door. Or, even better pop into Bills and get a couple of Margaritas and drink them on the way back to keep cool. Only $2 each, so much less than the taxi fare.
Are the cocktails pricey at the pool Stoneman? Also, have you been to happy hour 4-8pm at Stir? We quite liked it last year. I'm also wondering if there will be any unusual events this year like the fake tv wedding we attended last year at Platinum with free food & drink
Enjoy the rest of your trip. Glad the weather is good. 3 more sleeps for us.
Friday and Saturday they have the bar set up in the indoor pool part, quite large cocktails are $10, but we use the bottle of bubbly and some orange juice to make our own and take them down in plastic cups. I would advise going to 7/11 and buying some pre-made ones from the chiller and doing the same. What could be nicer than going up to your room, having a shower, changing into a fresh cossie and returning to the cauldron which they call the pool, with a nice cold iced drink:beer:The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Thanks for that map and info
We have never stayed at CP but thinking of splashing out next year as long as we can get 4 nights free at Orleans first. We like the look of the Octavius tower (dont like the price).
Can you get a fountain view from Octavius or is it to far back
We may just book the forum and hope for an upgrade0 -

I certainly wouldn't be put off staying in Palace Tower because of distance(saying that, we don't really traipse back and forth to the room much during the day so maybe I just didn't notice it)

So much choice! TBH I think we'd be happy in any room - definitely the more space the better given we're 2 females with a slight shopping problem though
Not that bothered about getting a good view so do you think if we mention this there's any chance of a better room (as opposed to better room and a cracking view)..?
Am currently printing menus out for restaurants - I remember writing a list last time of everywhere I wanted to eat, then not having the foggiest on what food they actually served or the price range... So figured an informed decision is the way forward!0 -
CASINOSI've just found out my all-time favourite band (Blink 182) are performing two nights at the pool at Cosmo next month!!!!
I am so, so, SO tempted to book flights out for it. They are performing on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th September.
Can anyone help me find cheap flights? Criteria as follows:
Departing from any UK airport (London preferably but can do others if significantly cheaper)
Duration of stay: 3 - 6 nights as long as 28th and 29th Sept are covered
I don't mind connections (preferably not more than 1 but 2+ is OK if significantly cheaper). I'd even be happy to do the Dublin open jaw trick if significantly cheaper. I also don't care at all about which airline or which model of plane it is.
If I can get anything sub £500 I'd be so tempted to go for it..you only live once!0 -

hi mate - i think you'll be out of luck, even with changes it's pushing £600. i see thomas cook have a flight out on the 26th september from manchester for £288. I've tried to find a flight back for the next week but it's not listed on their site for some reason (they have a return for the week after) so may be worth giving them a ring. they only fly out on wednesday so they may be updating the options/prices which is why i cant get a return price on the 3rd.
thomas cook charge £46 for luggage. so you may be able to get away with hand luggage if you're desperate. pair of shorts, few vests/shirt and you're good to go. you know use shampoo/shower gel in your room and get tooth brush there etc0 -
CASINOSThanks for looking mate, yeah I couldn't find much either. At first I saw that £288 on Thomas Cook and my heart leapt, I thought it was for a return! Then I came back down to reality when I saw it was one way0

the return flight may be 260ish. that's £550 which isn't too bad. I doubt you'll get any better but keep an eye on it. our flights with thomas cook fell every week when we flew in april. to be honest, direct to vegas for under £600 now a days between april-september is as good as you're going to get nowadays.
