After a weekend of searching, found a cheapy rate on TravelRepublic - was about £350 for 5 nights - given we were looking at spending in excess of £700 on a hotel in Spain we thought it was a good deal anyway!!
That is a great price, but it will be for one of the "Motel 6" rooms.
Put $20 clearly visible flat out on the counter and ask if there are any complimentary Forum Tower upgrades available, never failed in 3 times of trying for us, and I think ferf has had good results with it as well. The best tower and rooms at CP by a long way. If they can do it put the 20 inside your passport and hand it to them.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Thought I'd share this as I didn't realize that the Vegas Groupon also had daily deals on offer, there's a few to choose from and lots of food options to help save a few $$$$ https://www.groupon.com/now#/las-vegas
If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you always get so....this year I'm going to do things differently!

Wow, very nice of them - what a nice gesture. I gather you are happy at the platinum? Did you get free wifi? We did last time, but I seem to remember they gave us it after we had trouble with our room so wondered if it is now standard anyway (think it said it was standard on the website when we were booking).

Hope the weather has also improved. I checked the forecast and it looks like it is good. Did you drive down to M Resort and do the buffet? We did this last time but bit of a bummer driving and being offered free wine with the buffet  Nice place though. Well only 3 more days at work for us, and 4 days till we leave for LA and Vegas . :T
Wifi is free and always has been, just in the past they had to give you a code and sometimes unless you asked they forgot at checkin. Now you just open a web page and it asks you to accept terms and that's it. Even works in the lifts
Must say this is very stressful sitting by the pool with a cocktail in hand soaking up the sun and only me and Tracy here, hope you appreciate the effort:)

Weather is lovely today, not too hot and no clouds! Was bit cloudy yesterday and we felt it was quite cool in the evening (by Vegas standards anyway, was still boiling!)

Update on free brunch at Cosmo for those interested... My booking was through Virgin, confirmation said room only but I had free buffet, $30 at Chandelier bar (2 cocktails $28) and free wi fi ($15/24hr). My mum and sister booked through netflights,no freebies...boo.

Not too impressed with customer service, Ive never had to go back to reception at any hotel Ive stayed at before but found myself back a few times there:( maybe Ive just been lucky but disappointed with Cosmo.

    Back to work today,im tired....

Thanks, we are planning on trying for an upgrade - just trying to convince my friend that her Irish charm might work better than my thick Manc accent!

I've been reading that the Palace Tower is closest to the pools? Would like to be able to easily slip out for an hour or two in the sun each morning... Is Forum that much further it would make a difference?

it is a great pool, and was never busy whilst we were there..i spent my time on the brown beds near the window with the shade pulled over :o i wish i could take the platinum on holiday with me everywhere, it may not be the fanciest hotel in the world but it has everything we could ever wish for. enjoy your break :)
