Some hotels and shows have discounts for military and ex-military, but you would need to ask as they aren't always advertised.

Great information from Photome on Las Vegas, thanks.

My question is, does anyone know of discounts that are offered to military / ex military in Vegas? I know in Florida there were a lot of discounts offered for British armed sevices.

    Thanks

Thanks but its not all down to me, its a joint effort and was started buy another poster who doesnt visit very often.

there are many places that offer military discount but as Luci says you would have to ask and have valid ID, having said that I am ex Royal Navy and have never asked, I dont think I have ID either

A meet would be good. Count me in.

I'm retired BTW, that's why I can travel around a bit.

Just been looking at offers to book Absinthe.

Last year, it cost $107 for 2 of us, inc. Discount from outside Caesar's

Tickets this year through BestOfVegas (cheapest I can find) are around $160!!

Just a bit of an increase... Puts me off going slightly

(last year, our show got cancelled 2 nights in a row) :(

In case anyone was wondering, I've just heard back from Vdara and the information about resort fees ending that's on Virgin Holidays (and a couple of other websites) is incorrect - they're staying at $25 a day

Prices went up at the end of April when they introduced assigned seating instead of general admission. The cheapest tickets are $89 + fees, but there are discounts around for $20 off. I think Tix4Tonight are $69 + their own fee.

Quite often you will find shows/tours/attractions will offer military discount. I know that Paris offered discount for going up Eiffel Tower, Hoover Dam offered discount for their tour. There's no harm in asking at places even if it's not advertised as sometimes places say yes.

    Hi Lesley

What are your final plans for hotels, did you ditch the Carriage House and go for the Platinum?

Just saw this Luci, been out being tourists all day with my cousin from Australia. Nice drive to Inveraray then Oban :D

Yes, we did ditch Carriage House in the end. Got on offer for Platinum that appealed too much and couldn't resist booking it instead. We also ditched the Rio and are now staying at the Orleans. So it's 2 nights in LA (Culver City), 2 nights at GVR, overlapping with 4 nights at Orleans for slot tournament (have to drive up and check in and register while still at Green Valley Ranch), then 7 nights at Platinum, then 1 night at Long Beach (LA) before flying home.

Pebbles - when do you next go to Vegas? I wish I was retired, it's so unfair. I'm pretty sure you could hold down a job in Vegas and do your other travels within your leave time :rotfl:
