This is going to be a trip of firsts for us.
    First time using a taxi
    First time on a bus
    First time switching hotels
First time not having a car (for part of the trip anyway)
    First time using LAS T3
First time in a long time not traveling CW

Have a great trip, stoneman! That's a lot of firsts. :)

and just read about the upgrade - first win of the trip then!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • Thanks again Photome for the info and to those that have contributed to the main thread.

Thanks to Luci and KRoberts for your answers. The wife hates me asking for discounts but I guess she will have to get used to it on this holiday. Will take my veterans badge and see what happens.

we haven't got anything planned as such, but would like to do the following:
    secret garden @ mirage
    Eiffel tower @ paris
    shopping @ forever 21
    trip to gun store
cirque show - possibly zumanity but need to look at reviews etc
concert - maybe Mary J Blige but tickets are very expensive

anything else you guys would recommend? We wont have a car, but are fine with buses. We cant really afford the GC on this trip either.

just booked to goto vegas june 4th. i know it's ages away but i don't care, i can't wait already?

anyone know of any american holidays, school breaks, conventions, sporting events we might encounter? i'm hoping for it to be quiet! march madness was just too busy for me. went in april once and it was fine. though we got lucky with the weather. april might be too early for some.

first time i'm not goin with the lady, 3 of us maybe more, 1 has been in vegas for one night (and didn't even leave his room he was so exhausted) and the other never been. can't wait to show em round!

We go 19th Sep to the Cosmopolitan for 7 nights. So far we have booked Rod Stewart tickets, Grand Canyon helicopter tour, and have various restaurant vouchers for Top Of The World/ The Mix at Mandalay Bay and Hash House a go go. Hoping to see Ka, although I'm not booking in advance (tickets extortionate) and it ends a few days after we get there so we may not catch that.

First (and probably last) visit - VERY excited! Although I feel slightly sick at leaving the kids for that length of time :o

Strange weather at the moment, had a couple of storms and is raining this morning....boo....

Checking in at Cosmo tomorrow so will hopefully let you know about the free(fingers crossed) buffet. They are still running $100 gaming promo so will give that a whirl. Gambling so far is not going well:( I think it means im in for a huge win at the end of holiday so I can pay for next years trip!
