Thanks I cleared the cache and cookies and that worked. However the cache would have been different on all 3 browsers so I don't know why if didn't work last night.

The price came out about the same as I have for flight and hotels separately.

Is there an option on LM to only have a hotel for part of the stay as there is with Expedia as I couldn't see it.

OK here is a question. We need to go the a Bank of America in the first couple of days to deposit some money so we can get some out. The nearest one to PlanetHo is the one at the Walmart on Eastern, but when he drops us off how do we get a cab to get back ( we will be in there a bit so don't think it worth getting him to hang on, but am open to correction) As you can see we don't do taxis!!

think you would have to ring for one since you can't hail a taxi from the street in Vegas? Waiting time is $0.50/minute.

    A bus may be quicker.

Looks like there is also one downtown...which would at least mean that you could go to a hotel taxi rank to get back?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Crikey, I relent and decide to get a cab and now you guys are trying to get me on a bus:eek:
    Great idea about Downtown though:T
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I did chuckle...and while I was completely against buses in Vegas originally (not because I'm a snob, but because I have to take buses 5 days a week at home and just prefer not to when on holiday), the SDX is actually just fine with us - it's how we usually get downtown...and wouldn't be awful to get to a stop from Platinum, but not as handy as a taxi. I would personally never take the Deuce based on too many comments I've read about taking ages.

There is a branch near to the Orleans on W Tropicana Ave just past the petrol station , you could probably catch the free shuttle .

We are going to get the Ace from Paris (we are staying at Planetho) to Fremont Street and walk to 4th to the BOA there. $5 each, great call!

That's probably a better plan for you. Walk over to Bill's (get a $2 margarita) get the shuttle to the Orleans. Go to the bank Go to the Orleans for the buffet. Shuttle back One more Margarita from Bill's.

I suggested the bus because it might be walkable to Maryland Parkway, then just one bus. Not sure if I'd walk to Maryland Parkway from Platinum if it's hot though, and I'm thinking you're going before I am - maybe next week so still hot. That said, that branch would appear to be near Fashion Show Mall, where there's a taxi rank.

I'd definitely go for the option with the cheap margaritas though :rotfl:

Anyone else heading to Vegas in 2 weeks? This time in 2 weeks we'll be in LA, ready for the drive to Vegas on the Sunday. :T

    Hi Lesley

What are your final plans for hotels, did you ditch the Carriage House and go for the Platinum?

Great information from Photome on Las Vegas, thanks.

My question is, does anyone know of discounts that are offered to military / ex military in Vegas? I know in Florida there were a lot of discounts offered for British armed sevices.

    Thanks
