Yeah it's 11 nights including the resort fee (although I've read that there won't be one by the time we go!). I'm just so glad we didn't panic book when our Caesar's deal fell through the other week, I'd have been so annoyed at myself.

Just checked ebookers (£946 for the same thing) then a few more and have now found the same hotel/flight deal with Lastminute for £867.82 each, with 3.53% Topcashback :T:T:T

I don't think we'd mind an air-conditioned walk to the Strip through the Belaggio or the Cosmopolitan. We didn't really get annoyed by the 15 minute walk from TI, it's just that it's impossible to walk fast in 40 degree heat, which can be a bit of a pest!

they sound great deals... i was chuffed getting 850pp for 7 nights :) ... so looks like you've got a great deal.
just out of interest, where did you read about the resort fees being dropped?

i've not even been on our september holiday yet, and already thinking about booking for next year! :rotfl:

Thanks - I'm getting very, very excited! We'd be checking out on 4th July so I'm guessing it's cheap because most US travellers would be unlikely to go on 'vacay' in the 10 days before such a huge public holiday.

The resort fees thing was on Virgin Holidays site:

No resort fees from 01 Apr '13 but guests still receive the following:
    - High-speed Internet access (in suites)
    - Local & toll-free calls
    - Access to fitness centre
    - Daily newspaper
    - Turndown service upon request
    - 2 bottles of water per day

I've just emailed Vdara to check that this is the case - all we really want is free wifi but the rest wouldn't go amiss either! Will let you know what they come back with

We had said we fancied Planet Hollywood this time as the location is brilliant but I didn't realise that their 'no resort fees' doesn't extend to WiFi which costs $14.99 a day?

Be careful with this. We stayed in PH last year and assumed the $14.99 was per room. As we had 2 iPhones and 2 iPads we got charged $14.99 for each device per day!

i think it's probably as there's a sale on VA flights, which drops the price... we stayed there last year over 4 July and didn't notice much difference in price.

It does go up a bit over 4th July but yeah of course, that might well just be normal fluctuations and the build up to peak season. 23rd June is the cheapest departure date I could find in June/July on VH but most dates are around £300 less per person than prices in September. Hooray for flight sales!

I know we could stick to our original plan and wait until the September flights are released but I'd kick myself if I couldn't find as good a deal :)

    Morning All,

Or, we could have 2 suites at the Vdara for £1090 each, but it's non-gaming. Looks lovely and is in the perfect location. My brother and his partner haven't been to Vegas before, do you think they'll be missing out by not staying somewhere with a casino?

    Thanks lots

I have never stayed at Vdara and more than likely never will, It is in the middle of the monstosity that is Citycenter which of course is exactly what it looks like, a scattering of high rise office blocks, there is no casino and it is set back from the strip (prob closer than MGM though which is HUGE)

I have no doubt the hotel itself is great with great rooms but to me its not Vegas
