Working in Dublin at the moment, so priced up a Vegas trip in November, flights only on Expedia.

Vegas via Gatwick on Aer Fungus and the BA flight to LAS is £434.

The BA flight only if I go from Gatwick is £617.

    Huh?

Flights from Eire are not taxed as much as the ex UK ones.

BA and Virgin are having "sales" at the moment.

So you're saying both are LGW-LAS?

I took it to mean Dub-Lgw-Las
If so then my statement is true.

As I said flights Ex DUB are cheaper as there's less tax.

Some people fly to DUB from UK (Easy jet\Ryan air)
    Take the outbound DUB-LGW

Stay less than 24 hrs in LGW ;) and then continue to LAS the following day

Coming back they "miss" the LGW-DUB flight:cool:

Even though AL is not a one world airline I assume that BA could still ticket you on it, so wouldn't your luggage be ticketed straight through to DUB?
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
