CASINOSthough it would be customary to at least put some money in the machine
...we have seen people playing 1 line 1 cent, slowly...clearly there for the drinks only...have also seen cocktail waitresses refuse to serve the people sitting next to them at another slot machine not even bothering to slow play...so at least giving the perception that you are playing may be a better plan.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
WEATHERI was gonna have a crack at a Chocolate Martini in the Cosmopolitan... just cos it sounds posh!
lol
I looooooved the Chocolate Martinis in Cosmopolitan, absolutely delicious!! I tried the Chocolate Martinis in the Encore and they weren't half as nice, I believe the Cosmo uses Godiva chocolate liquor, and they also 'coat' the glass in melted chocolate - I would go back to Vegas just for one of those!! :j
I've read good things about another Cosmo cocktail - the Campfire Smores - which includes toasted marshmallows :T but I didnt get a chance to try.
Oh and First Food and Bar at the Palazzo do a Cotton Candy cocktail - you get a cocktail shaker of Cosmopolitan cocktail and a glass with a big piece of cotton candy in it to pour the drink over, mmmmm!!Lucky wins - Rituals Beauty Advent Calendar; Starbucks Coffee & £20 Gift Card; Amazing Hen Weekend at Dunblane Hydro; Heat Magazine Book Bundle; Le Crueset Goodies :j
Wishing everyone some magic fairy pixie dust for luck!0 -

has anyone ever booked flights & hotels through Thomas Cook?
My mum is taking my dad (well hoping to) to vegas for his 50th birthday. Looking at September time next year.
She has seen 7/10 nights with TC flights from Manchester, staying in anywhere from Ballys, Paris, PH, NY NY, MGM, Monte Carlo etc for under £1200 per person.
I thought 7 nights would be long enough for their 1st trip, but it was only an extra £30 pp to stay 10 nights.
Has anyone does this flight before? Any opinions?
Thanks in advance0 -

I have flown TC from Man a couple of years ago. As far as I remember the flight was fine, more leg room I think than VA but luggage allowance was poor, 15kg.
We have friends flying in today (wednesday pm) on the TC flight so will ask them about it and post. I have never done a package with them but people will advise to check seperate flight/hotel prices and then compare with the package price. It can be cheaper doing it yourself but do know of some who have had better prices as a package.0 -
CASINOSFerf.... Big Sky was at Orleans, not really been on the strip too much so haven't found it anywhere else. The most Ive won on a slot was on wicked winnings ii, there is now a WW iii but blimey that hoovers up your money!
OH and Mum went to Phantom last night at Venetian. Tickets were $66 via travelzoo, went for the cheaper ones as they weren't too bothered about the "surprise" during the show. After seeing it they said they felt their seats were better as they could see it happening where as if you were underneath it maybe not as good.
Had M resort lunch buffet $16.99, very nice, good selection and free booze!:beer:0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYI know they do / did do that one in the Holsteins Burger place, but are you intimating you can order it for free from the casino floor?
um, yeah - this is possibly the most important question anyone has asked here...possibly ever? quite eager for the response.
And stoneman...I thought that might have been you.
I can't play a slot for that low stakes...I would inevitably hit something that would have been huge had I been playing normally. And I know that it wouldn't necessarily have come in had I been playing higher stakes, but it would kill me...it's like dropping stakes to play one last spin to clear off remaining credits...sooo often I swear I get a bonus round and become vastly annoyed at myself...so now I just cash out.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Re the Campfire S'mores Cocktail - no harm in asking the cocktail waitress?! If she says no then just ask for a normal chocolate martini?
If your staying at the Cosmo Hotel you may get a voucher for a free cocktail per person for the Chandelier Bar. We got them when we went and so did my Mum.Lucky wins - Rituals Beauty Advent Calendar; Starbucks Coffee & £20 Gift Card; Amazing Hen Weekend at Dunblane Hydro; Heat Magazine Book Bundle; Le Crueset Goodies :j

Hi Guys
So... we have our flights booked for Vegas on the 30th August 2012 for 5 nights - but we haven't booked any accommodation yet...
So I was wondering if you think it's worth waiting till last minute to book - I know its only two weeks away, but do you think prices are likely to go up or down?
We want to book Mirage but on lowcostusa the prices seem to have shot up over the past two weeks?
Booking direct through mlife would incurr a further $125 in resort fees....
Any tips really guys - do we book now or wait till the death!?
Or does anyone know any good deals on certain sites at the mo?
Thanks in advance!:T
