can you order (for free) pretty much anything, apart from high-end drinks (pricey cocktails, champagne, etc)?
champagne in America is anything with bubbles in it (ie. Cava to the rest of the world?)

As low-rollers ourselves, we found that the following "high-end" places dished sparkly (Cava) out without issue:
    Wynn
    Bellagio
    Cosmopolitan

Other places would just tell you it would be chargable / you couldn't have it for free.

Re: Cocktails, if you state a specific brand of mixer (ie. Ketel Vodka), you may get refusal or given the alternatives, but generally 'common cocktails' are achievable. Likewise some places will dish out "Red Bull" but others will give you a "Monster" (or something similar instead)

I find stuff that requires effort (ie. Mojito) is harder to attain - but Pina Colada's don't seem to be an issue... Had plenty of practice ordering those!!

Speaking of which... and apologies, we may have done this before... but what is everyone's favourite "free" drink?

When i'm on the beer i'll always hit the Coors Lite / Miller Lite / Corona Lite (where available!) etc.

Non-beer for me will be a Pina Colada, Margarite, JD & Coke... I genuinely mix it up.

Hoping to try some new cocktails this next trip... any suggestions!?

When I am trying to get smashed, you can't go wrong with a Long Island Iced Tea. They vary in strength and quality depending where you get them, but Bill's do good ones if I remember correctly.

When I want something tasty, a White Russian is always a good shout. And when I'm just standardly on the beer, Dos Equis or Bud or Miller or Corona (or anything in fact!) is good with me.

plenty of martini variations at the cosmo, wynn etc available when gambling, pear, lemon & raspberry and also chocolate.

The double down serves a bacon martini which i might just have to try when we go.

Sit at a machine long enough and the waitress will come -tip $5 if there's two of you for the first drinks-then a $1 a drink thereafter and they'll keep coming back to you. Try and have change although they will break a bigger bill for you but the faster they can move on -the faster they can be back for you next round ! :)

Remember they can't work outside their section and are expected to serve one drink per person per round -Use that British accent and be NICE to them and you can't go wrong.

any tips on getting/attracting free drink waitress service when playing the regular slots?
    Three suggestions

    1. tip
    2. tip
    3. tip

Currently staying long term in a UK Crowne Plaza, and youve no idea how far a fiver tip will go!!!

all sounds like common sense really :)

I don't drink booze so will have to think of some fun soft alternatives - any suggestions?

Will they do the frozen cocktails in the casino waitress service do you think?
