VALUE FOR MONEYLesley, our next trip is 1 October to 12 November.0

CASINOSJust finishing off packing then head down to Heathrow for the afternoon flight. Silver card holder with BA now so get lounge access and HUGH luggage allowence even though we are traveling WT+
This is going to be a trip of firsts for us.
First time using a taxi
First time on a bus
First time switching hotels
First time not having a car (for part of the trip anyway)
First time using LAS T3
First time in a long time not traveling CWThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Hi
Just noticed the recent resort fee/Vdara posts. I booked through LowcostUSA for a week at the Vdara and it included all resort fees so nothing else to pay once we got there. The confirmation from company confirms this point. Also, we asked if there were any complimentary upgrades on arrival and got bumped to a room on 31st floor with a view of the Bellagio fountains! Being a non-casino hotel is not for everyone but we loved it - massive rooms with fridge for beer/wine, short walk to the strip and the hotel smells gorgeous! Enjoy0 -
CASINOSI second that, the hotel does smell really nice.0

think i'm going to book a flight to vegas for 4th june. £576 direct with virgin. as someone said, should be refreshed by then?
i've checked and i miss a big convention and memorial day then. (i think) anything else i've not thought of? big sporting events?
will probably stay at ballys 4 nights/nug 3 nights. like to mix it up.0 -

we're going to buy some of that scent when we go in a few weeks, isn't it lovely?!
did you tip when asking about a room upgrade? i'm thinking about just asking if they have any Vdara or Corner Suites available (we've booked a Deluxe) ... and I'll offer a tip if we're successful.
we'll be happy with the Deluxe suite but would be great to have the washer+dryer0 -
CASINOSStill not going to get to try out WT+. got to bag drop and been upgraded to Club on the upper deck, whoo! The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. Hi
No, didn't offer a tip, just casually enquired. Didn't tip after either - got the impression it wasn't needed or the done thing there. We had a deluxe suite too which is the most basic room. The corner suites looked great on the website but think some of them have rubbish views so I was pleased with the fountain view room and just hd to face the laundry pile when I got home0 -

that's good to hear, i was just planning on being nice and smilingwe've always got on well with the check-in desk before.
the last couple of visits we'd booked corner suites, have had one looking towards bellagio (could see the fountains from the bathroom!) and one facing towards Luxor/Aria, but that had great views of the mountains.
this time, we just thought we'd book the Deluxe (which will be great anyway) and ask if they had any Vdara or Corners available (hoping that as it'll be a 3rd stay there in 3 years, they might see us as 'regulars') I'm not too bothered about a fountains view this time.
i've said in this thread before, but the washer+dryer is soooo handy (and so NOT Vegas!). but we'll be happy with whatever we get :T0
