yes they are transferrable...but at $15 per 1000...and can only transfer up to 15,000 to one person per year...and the maximum that can be transferred out in a year is less than I have...it's not ideal for me. :)

If anyone really wants to pay me $225 to transfer 15,000 miles to them then great...but I have to assume that's going to be quite unlikely.

    FREE ATTRACTIONS
Hi, Wondered if anyone can help me. Going to Vegas in September with some freinds. One of which is celebrating his birthday while we are there. As a surprise we want to book him the free fall at the Stratosphere. Is it better to book there or do you need to book well in advance.
    Cheers

Personally I would book in advance , as there are no discount vouchers to be had anywhere, so you pay the same price , but are sure to get the time that you want , I will also be jumping in sept thanks to my wife buying it for my birthday, so if you hear some very loud profanities in a broad screaming Scottish accent , that will be me.

Daughter did it 2 years ago and I crapped myself just watching her.

    Enjoy

There is a fee to trade, which varies by program. The fee is based on the number of points/miles and program from which you are giving points/miles. Both you and the person you are trading with pay a fee

which, on the points.com site? me neither...

but on United site it's $15 per 1000 miles to transfer., maybe it's to cover fees on the airline's end?

Not great reviews of points.com here though, in terms of actually receiving the gift cards...

no...but there's an option to buy vouchers or get PayPal credit for some airlines...think that is what alictait is suggesting.

I can't see that the exchanging miles from one programme to another makes much sense for me...but if I could get a WalMart or Best Buy gift card it would.

But eg i can trade my Club Calrsson points for paypal credit without going near points.com. I think theres a fee for both ends to pay even when exchanging miles :(
