huh? Those water sellers have always been banned, surely we're not the only ones to have seen them hurridly packing up their ice chests and legging it whenever a cop has been spotted.
Would never dream of buying water from them no matter how desperate I was for a drink.0 -
SHOPPINGThought about that, but I could have it sent to family in the US and have them send it on...and some are electronic so you get a code emailed (which for somewhere like Best Buy, if you could order online to collect in store would work).
Still toying with the idea - also checking options on United's site to buy stuff since we could have whatever sent to family.
I knew our miles were expiring sometime relatively soon, so regardless good to have the heads up a few months before they actually do to see what options there are...actually never occurred to me there WAS any option that didn't involve finding a way to keep them alive.
I had a look at the giftcard options but for the few points I had (21,000 USAirways miles) I could get $10 worth of gift cards or $89 worth of paypal cash - took the paypal option and its now in my account, £55ish which I withdrew to my bank account. Can't complain as it would have expired anyway! If at first you don't succeed - destroy all evidence that you tried.0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYI've seen water sellers being arrested from time to time.0

CASINOSAlbertsons sell 3 cases of water (72 bottles) for $10.
Not a bad profit when they sell em on for a dollar each.
Ive bought countless bottles from the street sellers. Ice cold water just when you need it and as the bottles are sealed no problem.0 -

VALUE FOR MONEYI'm not totally sure, I may have bought water from them before.
That said, I don't agree with benefit cheating, tax evastion etc. But I probably haven't given it that much thought before. I'm a moneysaver, so I guess I'd rather pay a dollar than go into MGM or something and pay $3 :rotfl:0 -
Pizza or chinese delivery to our hotel room (Vdara)?
