VALUE FOR MONEYi'll happily recommend Vdara all day long
if you want to message me to ask any specific questions, feel free.
the entry-level rooms don't have washers and driers, but mid-to-high rooms do... have to check the website. they are a godsend as you can get most of your laundry done before you get home! sad, but oh so helpful!0 -
If you book through Low Cost USA and the voucher which they send you states "Includes Daily Resport Fee of $20" under the accomodation details does that mean I need to pay it or that it is payed already?
I assumed the latter but I just wanted to confirm with someone that had already come accross this.0 -

Means it is paid - I used lowcost for a stay at the Vdara and there was nothing else to pay on departure.
I agree with Secretmachines re: the Vdara but would point out that entry level rooms do not have a coffee maker and none have a kettle. I took my trusty travel kettle and not much of a coffee drinker. I booked the entry level room thu lowcost but got a fountain view on request on arrival when I asked for any comp. upgrades. It was my first LV visit & I would return there again if I got a good deal (paid about £77 a night). Enjoy X0 -

we booked a cheaper entry-level room (deluxe), in the hope we may be offered an upgrade as it'll be our 3rd Vdara stay in 3 years- the last 2 times we stayed we had a corner suite (which we booked).
we bought flights+hotel for 7 nights through ebookers, and after deducting flights and quidco cashback, the room works out at about £35/night (+resort fee).
but we know we'd be happy with a deluxe room so if no upgrade was available, like you, may take/buy a travel kettle while we're there and make our own coffee.0 -
SHOWS<waves to elantan>
The coach trips are *really* long and tiring-another option is to take a plane to the Canyon (all seats are window seats fantastic views) and then you road to the Canyon either by self drive jeep or Hummer-lunch at a ranch is included -we really enjoyed the trip-We left very early and were back by about 4 (pick up and drop at the hotel were included)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I'm sadder...most trips I will hit Wizard of Suds on Arville, usually moving day as we've started splitting our trips between two hotels so usually 5/3 nights - so I normally go the morning we check out of one - before check-out time, so we're packing only clean clothes for the move...then what we wear the last 3 days goes into a separate case and everything else is clean when we get home...it cuts down on what we have to bring with us (more room for shopping!) and cuts down on the laundry when we get home.
I would love to be able to do laundry in my room, but non-casino hotels are definately not on our list...I can see why they would appeal to some and maybe one day we will get to that point, but not yet.
And yeah, I know I'm turning into my mother...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

oooh, interesting as I really want to try Cosmo anyway...but probably only for one night as we don't get any offers from there...if I time it right....hmmm...or...maybe we will splurge next trip as it's our 20th...problem is we'll probably be at Paris or Bally's the first 5 or 6 nights...so were wanting something probably farther north for the remainder...hmmm...gives me something to consider though!
It is kind of sad, but it's practical...and to be honest, to me, one of the absolute worst things about coming home from holiday is having 2 cases of laundry to do...I find it so, so depressing...so it makes me happy to get home and have most of it clean...so, really, it's reducing the post-holiday blues...so it's OK!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
We should be getting to the Desert Rose about now next Wednesday, and we can't wait!!
I'm going to leave the deposit in cash, just in case there are still any issues with credit cards.
All we need now is to see if they have a quiet room, in the sun with a view of the strip, but I don't believe that will be possible (unless they build an extension in the next week!!!)0 -

That makes me a saddo too, I do all my washing before returning home! I have 4 suitcases to go through and also depresses me so at least if its clean it makes it easier to cope with!0
