I agree. I can just about tolerate a buffet for breakfast, but am usually disappointed if I go for dinner.

Has anyone been to Wicked Spoon Buffet at Cosmo? I've read some good things about it and it's on our list of possibles fo April - any experiences?

    Hi all,

I'm off to Vegas in 2 weeks and have found all the information in this thread incredibly useful, so thanks very much :)

I was just after your opinions really as we are booking our hotel last minute- would you choose Paris or Planet Hollywood based on them being the same price?

    Thanks all.

Having never stayed in either (due to stay at PH in 2 weeks) I would opt for Paris based on the 'feel' of the casino and the usual prices (Paris is normally more expensive).

Having said that PH has all been recently(ish) refurbed....

PH if you are 30's or below, Paris if over????

assuming standard rooms at each we would choose Paris. We hated the Hollywood Hip room we had at PH, even if we ignored the goods lift running behind the bed.

Stayed at the Paris last year and had no complaints, 20dollars at checkin got us a good upgrade and the most comfortable bed i have ever had. I have booked the Paris again from the 19th Jan for 4nights.

We thought it was very good, had dinner there last trip - the macaroni and cheese station alone meant that I would love it...they had a lot of options you don't see on other buffets, but a lot of Asian foods (which I like, but some might not)...most things I tried were really good. The dessert station was disappointing (as reported previously by stoneman)...it had a LOT of desserts...just not the sort of desserts I normally go for. It's a nicely laid out buffet - though it's in a weird location.

But for 2 people, dinner is $70 plus tax, so up there with Wynn...for that price we would probably choose a sit-down restaurant in the future. If we had a significant discount we wouldn't hesitate to go back...brunch is $22, and while we might consider it, I still think for $44+ tax between us we would opt for a sit-down restaurant.

So true - if we knew we would get a resort view room upgrade from a HH room, I'm pretty sure we would always stay there...loved the resort room they moved us to...but would be so disappointed to end up in a HH room again, so won't chance it.

Thought we would book our last 2 nights of holiday at Encore (Sat / Sun night) - found promo code, total quoted is £240 inc tax, including 2 buffet's and $25 drinks credit. Is this a good deal for this hotel?
