    Total Rewards
Is it worth me joining the Total Rewards Scheme? I will probably only do a one off trip to Las Vegas, but the Flamingo Hotel is part of the Ceasers group so I was wondering whether its worth it to get the points for the booking?

Costs nothing to join, just ID, if you are going to gamble at all on the slots make sure you put your card in the machine (and take it out at the end), or give to the pit boss if you gamble on the tables.

check your points balance at the end of your stay and ask what they can be used for. Ferf knows better than me I never have enough.

You then maybe will get comp offers on rooms for a later date.

They do seem to make it hard work!

Ive actually got a booking at expedia which is cheaper but is no longer available but have given them my itnerary number to see if they can match to that now, will update when get a reply but can see me just cancelling to!

This is soo laughable, i have heard back from Marriott after providing them with my actual itinerary number and a full breakdown of what i have booked and they have replied saying they cannot find my booking on expedia so will no be able to price match!

This offer is a complete scam imo and i have cancelled my booking with Marriott and would advise anyone else to book with caution if they are planning to claim for this offer!

coz2099 - what do you mean?

I've used the Marriott 25% guarantee and had no problems.

Can't you use a different site from Expedia? I'm sure there are cheaper out there. The rate you find on Expedia needs to be the same when they check it otherwise you could make up any old price.

You'll need to take your passport, not your driving licence as i.d.
They wouldn't take my DL, even though it's the photo one for some reason.

Ok maybe scam is a bit over the top but i have provided them with 2 sites, expedia and lowcostusa and both times they have 'claimed' they cannot find the rate that i have, just seems a little strange in my book!

Was the rate still the same on both sites when you went back in to look, if it was, then there does appear to be something wrong

I havent tried the rate match with Marriott, have done so with Days INN and had free nights.

Yep it was, hence my annoyance!

Never mind ive cancelled now and stick with my expedia booking, was a very decent price anyway, not worth the hassle trying communicate with Marriott!

If you have a problem with them denying your quote email directly back from their LOOK email address and you'll probably get someone different reply.

I had a problem when someone denied my request for a perfectly good request when they thought I was claiming for a different room, I replied back to the email explaining they were wrong and how I had found the price. They emailed back shortly after and corrected the price. I find them really good to be honest.

My findings been the total opposite to yours, ive been emailing them to the address you suggested since yetserday and have found them very unhelpful to say the least, i have gone out of my way to explain to them how i have got to the rates(even though its basically just putting in the correct dates) and they have replied that they are unable to find the rates i quote!

like i said have cancelled now so wont be bothering again!
