SHOWSI do think it depends what you play ......and what you mean by comps.
I haven't paid for a room in several years (2 or 3 short trips a year) and always get something taken off at check out for meals too.
I never stake e more than $100 a day -theoretically-although if I've had a good day I might add something onto the following day's budget
I've stayed mainly at CP and the Flamingo but also Rio for the odd night and the Orleans and once or twice the odd night at the Gold Coast. So long as I'm somewhere fairly central or easy to get to mid-strip I'm not bothered. I like a nice pool and will sometimes casino hop outside of the CET casinos but the majority of my gambling is CET. I also get points for show tickets.
For my level of play (slots) CET works for me but table games are something else entirely.
So for me playing the comps games works -my hotels are "free" (although certain hotels I'll use the $20 trick but never book the lowest grade of room anyway) and some of my food.
Wouldn't work for everyone but I can't agree with Stoneman -comps can work but it depends very much on what you're looking for and how you want to play it.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I've given up on the looknofurther guarantee. They messed up the virgin price I sent them (thought the rate there was per night not for the whole stay), then by the time I pointed it out to them the price on virgin had gone up £200. Then I pointed them to lowcostusa and they seem to only be able to find a price that is £400 higher. It may be due to their computers checking these sites so often that they see higher prices because of cookies or something.
Anyway, time to plan seeing a show. Are there any good offers on cirque shows at the moment? Otherwise leaning towards penn and teller or blue man, both seem to have reasonable deals on travelzoo at the moment.0 -

CASINOSYeah I suppose the best attitude with comps is not to expect much, then if you do get anything comped it's a pleasant surprise. 26 days I can't wait! I'm only gonna be there for 6 nights though, wish it was longer!0

just back from my first LV visit & will report soon (loved it!). Saw cirque show mystere at Treasure Island. Bought tickets on the day from Tix booth. They had tickets for $62 and the seats were ace. Show was amazing. Hot tickets are O and Ka but the tickets were around $100 or more even when reduced. Enjoy0 -
