    Afternoon All,

I've gotten great hotel discount codes from fatwallet over the last few years but it seems to have ground to a halt. Is it fatwallet or are the deals just not quite as many and varied as they used to be?

I also use smartervegas but even that isn't giving as many offers. Are there any other websites that people use to find the coupons and codes?

I'm pretty sure I've signed up to all the hotel websites for email updates direct but they are very few and far between.

    Cheers,

    Billy

My biggest source of seeing offers for hotels is by following them on Twitter and Facebook. This is probably the best thing to do for the short term deals ("Special 48 hour Twitter deal for our followers" etc seem to pop up quite a bit). To be honest, it's the main thing I use Twitter for...

Out of all those listed below, http://www.vegashotelspecial.com/ is probably one of my favourites - you can also follow them on Twitter so you get all the deals they get in popping up on your feed.

This is the list of links I keep on my computer... suspect they're no different from those quoted in the first post, as I think someone from here compiled the majority of them a while ago

Due to the change in layout and the work taking place, we’re unable to offer advanced seat selection in Premium Economy after 01 April. In addition to this refurbishment programme we’re are also making system changes to the seat request process which means restricting the seats allocated within our booking system throughout the period of development

And yet another reason to love this forum...thanks very much for this, penny...while we may have noticed it at some point, chances are we would not have before booking...we were toying with booking PE for our fall trip in honour of it being our 20th trip...no way in this world am I booking PE seats without knowing where they are...no way...while it may be that the new configuration means that any seats will be fine...if I understand this correctly, until the refurbished fleet is fully in service you may get an old plane, you may get a new plane...so that's why they cannot allocate seats in advance? Think we'll wait until the new fleet is in full rotation...we were wavering anyway, as PE on the old planes isn't that great...this seals it...we're likely to look at AA instead I think.

does anyone know if Gatwick Hilton ever does any offers/deals for its Park & Fly reservations?

The last 2 years we got special prices in their sale which started in between Christmas and New Year (no good if you are going this year...)

Have a look at holidayextras - we got a room at the same price as booking direct BUT they had a special offer which got us 2 buffet dinners for £10 each and the kids ate free (we were off to Orlando).

PH Towers has been sold by Westgate. They are busy at the moment changing the signs on the side to Hilton Grand Vacations Elara
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Are you sure it is worth getting for a week?
Have you checked out the ACG and vouchers available online like Freemont street ones etc

    Hi photome,

Do you think it will not be worth it?

Following is what we plan to use it for

Spice market $10 off for 2 people - lunch
Rio Carnival 2 for 1 buffets - lunch
Paris $10 off for 2 people - breakfast
    Mirage 2 for 1 buffets - lunch
    Jubilee 2 for 1
    NYNY rollercoaster 2 for 1
    Stratosphere 2 for 1

I phoned LVA today who confirmed that they don't post to hotel addresses so we will have to collect it from their office on Monday :-(

Who's in Vegas over the next few weeks? Seem to remember there are a few members here out at the same time.

    Us, we're there March 24th - April 7th

Here at the moment sunning by the pool at Platinum. Off to M Resort tonite for dinner at the buffet and a few $5 cocktails

Just some input from me.... :)

$5 off Spice Market Buffet is here (obv. equating to $10 for 2 people) - http://www.destinationcoupons.com/nevada/las_vegas/spice-market-buffet/spice-market-buffet-coupons.asp

When we stayed at NYNY we got given a 2 for 1 RollerCoaster voucher - can't remember if it was included as an offer with our booking (few years ago) but maybe worth asking at check-in?

Jubilee has been running for sometime - may be worth checking out what the prices are at the ticket booths?

One more thing to mention is beware the lure of the buffets! :) we always want to go to loads but fall down because either:
    a) we stuff our faces to much at them and it kills us for the rest of the day
    b) we are in the wrong place at the wrong time, and don't want to trek the length of the strip to go to the buffet we want to go to
    c) the lines can sometimes be quite long :)

I don't think it is worth taking the time out of a one week trip from those savings. You can get similar offers for the free leaflets in taxis and suchlike.

That explains that...they were taking the PH Westgate sign down when we were there - could see it straight out our window - and we were curious what was going on.

I think that value for money-wise it could be worth it, but if you are there for a week and will lose 2 days of use if you cannot collect until Monday, then maybe less so...that is a lot of buffets in a short period....though some people don't mind that many buffets in a relatively short period - though like nvh, we tend to over-indulge and go off the idea of a buffet for at least a few days, sometimes longer...agree too that things do not always go to plan, I wouldn't want to feel tied to that many meals - though you could make it work if you really wanted.

There's a $4 off voucher for the NYNY roller coaster at the site nvh posted too, in the attractions section.
