    Hi photome,

Do you think it will not be worth it?

Following is what we plan to use it for

Spice market $10 off for 2 people - lunch
Rio Carnival 2 for 1 buffets - lunch
Paris $10 off for 2 people - breakfast
    Mirage 2 for 1 buffets - lunch
    Jubilee 2 for 1
    NYNY rollercoaster 2 for 1
    Stratosphere 2 for 1

I phoned LVA today who confirmed that they don't post to hotel addresses so we will have to collect it from their office on Monday :-(

Normally would be all for the savings but you only have 5 days, as NVH posted you have the PH buffet voucher (print as many as you like and go there more than once possibly)

http://www.vegasexperience.com/coupons/ enter email and realvegas as password for bogof at Main street station and one other that I cant remember

The last 2 years we got special prices in their sale which started in between Christmas and New Year (no good if you are going this year...)

Have a look at holidayextras - we got a room at the same price as booking direct BUT they had a special offer which got us 2 buffet dinners for £10 each and the kids ate free (we were off to Orlando).

thanks dgutte, we'll be going in Sept so have missed that boat... I'm not surprised that they don't many offers I guess because they're in high demand.

I don't think £159 is too bad for a night's stay + 9 days parking, the car park is a 2min walk from the hotel and the hotel is attached to the terminal, so it makes twilight check-in nice and easy. although you could save a few £ by staying away a mile or two away from the airport and booking parking separately, for the sake of convenience, i think the value is in spending a few extra pounds.

And yet another reason to love this forum...thanks very much for this, penny...while we may have noticed it at some point, chances are we would not have before booking..

Do you not research before hand? This news has been out there for a while

fine...if I understand this correctly, until the refurbished fleet is fully in service you may get an old plane, you may get a new plane...so that's why they cannot allocate seats in advance?

    Yes

Think we'll wait until the new fleet is in full rotation...we were wavering anyway, as PE on the old planes isn't that great...this seals it...we're likely to look at AA instead I think.

Look at V-flyer for VS specific things (see their Beta fare finder for example)

or at Flyertalk for anything about airlines\hotels\Vegas codes etc

yes, quite a lot...a bit of a research junkie...and I knew about the upgrade, but had not read about the lack of PE seating assignments, though only recently started toying with the idea of flying PE with them for our next trip (like last week)...not sure I would have thought to check on the seating assignment thing until we had booked and realised, would depend on how it appears on their website...if I would have gone straight past it without seeing it as I have been to their website a zillion times.

hence my appreciation for having it posted here. :)

Did someone on here go to Roos N More? Is it worth a trip and how far is it from Vegas?

need a bit of advice. We're going to book Las Vegas going on May 9th and we can't decide between the Vdara and the Encore.

The Vdara looks like it's in a more central location but the Encore just looks a bit nicer / better facilities etc. We will be getting them for about the same price so that's not an issue.

We have been to Vegas before and stayed in the Bellagio, this is also an option but I fancied something different. We plan to see Criss Angel, Penn and Teller and possibly the Blue Man Group. We do use the casinos but its not a deal breaker to have it in the hotel.

Can anyone help out with which is best?

We did and it's right up there with my favorite Vegas experiences ever - we think it's worth a trip, but like anything, opinions will obviously vary. I'm pretty sure that the whole Walk with the Otters thing we did would come in at or very near number one single Vegas experience (though clearly not very Vegas-y).

I think it was about an hour's drive, and very straightforward...from the exit off of I-15 you just need to look for the signs that say 'zoo' with an arrow and follow along, we had no issues finding it.

As the place is staffed by volunteers, some days - like the one we went - they don't have as many staff as normal so fewer animals are available to interact with...but we still got to interact with a lot more than we normally would have.

It's not a big place, and it's not fancy...normally I would be somewhat nervous about a place like this, but I think the fact that they open to the general public just a few days a month maybe shows that they have more important concerns than making money. The folks who work there were really friendly and knowledgable and obviously loved the animals they were caring for.

    Thats down to personal preference.

I am guessing Vdara wasnt there last time you went as you are not sure about the location, it is more central but my preference would be Encore just because I dont like City center which looks like a load of high rise office buildings and IMO is an eyesore, and of course Encore has a casino
