They do seem to make it hard work!

Ive actually got a booking at expedia which is cheaper but is no longer available but have given them my itnerary number to see if they can match to that now, will update when get a reply but can see me just cancelling to!

I'm in exactly the same position. What was the reasoning you got for them not accepting lowcost? Wondering whether to bother trying. Expedia rate is reasonable otherwise

You'll need to take your passport, not your driving licence as i.d.
They wouldn't take my DL, even though it's the photo one for some reason.

The Caesars group is the most strict, I think...everyone else took my photocard driving licence, they don't - not even to have a duplicate card printed...they won't take my US Passport Card either - just the actual passport...I guess because staff are not as familiar with foreign DLs, they just don't accept them...and I gather that US Passport Cards may now being faked...it is annoying, but now I'm used to it. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Would they accept a photocopy of passport because I do not like carrying it around when on holidays , lost it once before and do not want the same hassle again. Alcohol and important documents don't mix.

I was told by a slot host that it was a legal requirement for them to use a government issued document, and that the driving licence was no longer on the list of approved documents. I think it changed the middle of last year. As far as I know, a photocopy is not accepted either.

I think it neds to be the original passport. If you are staying where you want to sign up its not an issue, sign up and then return it to your room.

Having said that i carry mine everywhere as most places require ID when paying by Credit crad

Yep, it was Caesars Palace that refused it, it was June last year. In fact she practially threw my DL back at me, saying "no, no, passport only" Any other time I used my DL I never had a problem, even used it for i.d when getting drinks in Caesars and it was accepted.
In the end I decided not to bother with a Total rewards, and just stuck with our Wynn Red card. We did well with that, DH asked for a points total and because it was his birthday that day, he got an extra $10 bonus and a free buffet. I ended up with a free buffet on another day too. DH was that thrilled he ended up over eating and had to stay in the room for the night with belly ache (too much pasta):rotfl:

    Hi,

They said in final email that they had tried numerous times to get the rate i quoted on lowcosts website but could not, i find this very strange as stated previously as everytime i look for our dates(3 june 5 nights) its £549 for terrace 1 bed but they say price is £984???

Even for my expedia booking i gave them my itinerary number and the reference from cosmopolitan and they say there is no booking on the system for me, yet when i go to the cosmo website and put in my details there it is, lol

Ive given up now, cant be bothered but it may be worth a try as you cant really lose as it is cancellable anyway!

Possibily but ive cancelled my booking with them now!

I just dont know what they are doing, i talked them through step by step in an email and they still say they get the higher price and god knows what they are doining woth my expedia claim, they said they have phoned the cosmo even and there is no booking. This is all why i said it was a scam originally as i cant believe its legitimate what they are saying!

When I first went to Vegas two years ago, I had no idea how much I'd love it so I didn't really bother signing up for any of the reward schemes cos I didn't think I'd be back.

Then when I went again last summer I signed up on my first day, but then forgot to use it most of the time. Then towards the end of the holiday I left it in a machine when I was (very drunk!).

So now in 4 weeks I'm going back for my third trip, and I WILL start collecting points! Even if I just get a free buffet out of it :T
