It has to be your decision as to what YOUR rules are about your spends. Others have said about fares to work, money given to you as a gift & all sorts of things, but really & truly the only answer is the same for all of us.

Good advice BigMumma. :j I was assuming I'd have to count the fridge repair man as a spend day, but maybe I could justify that as an involuntary spend... Let's see when he can come out first - it might just be that I use that day to buy some food anyway as I shall need to buy some milk and butter etc once I've got somewhere cold to store it - UNLESS I defrost what's in the freezer first... Decisions decisions!:o0 -

Thanks guys, it was just the postage money, I was sending him out some shirts from his wardrobe so perhaps i'll lean towards no spend for now... (the £5 change came from yesterday's shop anyway, so I suppose technically it's part of yesterday's spend? *grasps at straws*

I'll try to explain how I work out my rules; it's taken a long time to decide on them & how it fits in with MY circumstances, & it will probably be the same for us all.
My exclusions are:-
Emergency vet & human medical prescriptions.
Hospital car park for appointments.
Unavoidable travel costs for essentials appointments.
Money gifted to me.
Any utility bills.
Think that's it...& don't worry! Tis supposed to be a FUN way to help control your coins after all. Good Luck!
Well said, BMF, there speaks the voice of experience.:T:T:T:TThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hi Redouble
I would call it a no spend, definitely, after all it's not unnecessary and you're not squandering your money.
Hope that helps.
