I did however buy a couple of hideous items from EBay with my Christmas money along with the Butterfly prints I had intended so effectively I wasted some money - doubt I will recoup on eBay but will have ago.
Also I had one Charity shop day.
In February I am going to allow myself another one as I am finding the withdrawal quite hard!
im sorry sweetheart its just what i read on the wall.. do you want me to remove you from the wall of shame? ...i had some many to read lol0 -
Confession time: today bought a mini stepper to collect at Sainsburys. justification being it will help me exercise while the weather is crappy and will put me off spending £30+ on gym membership (asd if more encouragement were needed!) BUT I am going through musicmagpie/turnintocash sites to sell of some old CDs and DVDs to make up for it0

Don't worry I can stay there for my charity shop spends.
If I remember rightly someone asked me what I had resisted buying as I was going to buy them. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

That would be me, I was more intrigued to know what you hadn't bought, than what you had bought. :rotfl:

Spookybuffy, loving the wall of shame, might help me in Feb lol
I need to confess to a bit more... £44.84 on clothes but mostly for when I am working again but could say I didn't need them at this time... and £25.60 on some Caudalie day perfecting fluid, I had a sample of this and loved it and had a weak moment *shame*.
I think the rest of my spends can be classed as reasonably ok being £25 towards new glasses (prescription changed) and my grocery spend has come in really low for me £53.23 as I made a huge effort there not to buy! £5 top up on my Oyster but have walked everywhere instead of public transport or the car so got it in case, had to pay a vets bill (very essential) £118 and bought a frying pan for £9.75 and a couple of eco cleaning items, but did need them.. not sure where beauty appts come in but I did go for waxing so another £55.
The rest of my money went on my usual and planned household direct debits and I've been cutting my electric use where poss.
It's more difficult than I thought. The things that have helped have been unsubscribing from companies emails as they come in, just not going to the shops and not ordering things online and also I am in the process of going through my wardrobe to see what I really have and use.
Feb's figures WILL be lower0 -

Aargh! So close!
I'm afraid to report that I have to go on the :money: :money: Wall of shame Jan 2012
Shame on you!!!!!!! :money: :money:
Today (31st Jan) I made a purchase at the charity shop. A carrier bag of books for $2.00, plus a book for my daughter which cost $1.00, so that's a $3.00 transaction which equates to about 1.87 pounds sterling
My daughter asked me to go get the one she had seen and to get it if it was still there, which I did, and it was, so I got it for her but not before I weakened and succumbed to a bargain.
It was a want rather than a need and as such should go on The Wall
I hate buyer's remorse!
