  • Hi all -2lb for me this week :D

My back pain seems to have been a bit better over the last 2 days so will try some gentle exercise on the wii tomorrow.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
  • Hi all!

    Mind if I join you?

I am a size 19.....20s are slightly too big but 18s far too small. I would like to be a size 14 but think a 16 is a more sensible target for the time being.

I am one week into mfp calorie counting and with an exercise target of 3/4 times a week.

So far I have stuck to my calorie intake. If anything I am struggling to eat enough as I seem to have 200-400 a day spare and I'm eating enough to fill me up at meal and snack times. I'm set up to lost 1.5lb a week via mfp.

This is what I ate today - if one of you kind people wouldn't mind checking I'm not massively lacking anything nutrition wise I'd be very grateful.

    S - banana at 6am prior to 6.30 bootcamp
B - porridge with skimmed milk and a spoon of sugar, cup of tea
L - boiled egg, half an avocado, ham sandwich made with wage thin ham and a seeded warburtons thin
S - carrot, cucumber, yellow pepper, plum tomatoes, celery
D - small jacket potato with cheese and bacon and BBQ sauce. Glass of low cal cherryade.

Dinner felt like a real treat tonight! Mmm bacon and cheese :-) I've been making recipes from Hairy Dieters and Cook Yourself Thin cookbooks all week and can thoroughly recommend them both, but tonight's tea was just a scaled down version of an 'old' meal (i.e. pre lifestyle change - the potato would have been twice the size and easily double the cheese, and heaps of butter)

Exercise-wise I did a Davina DVD on Monday, a dance class on Thursday and bootcamp this morning, as well as walking to the upstairs toilet when nature calls at work (which is a fair bit as I'm drinking so much water!)

Week one - 4lb lost hooray
  • :rotfl:officeguru, im not that partial to frozen burgers thankfully! or the dreaded t*sco food when i think about it!

    Anyway food today:

B-yogurt and fruit and natural cocoa orange bar thingy (which the proper name of escapes me!)
L cheese and pickled onions (yummy!) oh and 2xcrackers
D homemade chicken curry with onions and mushrooms n rice (kind of takeaway secret version but adapted to suit what ingredients i had -very tasty!!)
S - small bag of mccoys and small bag of peanut m&ms

im on nights this weekend and i always find i eat more rubbish than normal! but i have soup made for lunch when i get up tomorrow n my cereal will be eaten in the morning when i get home.
and i have bought my crisps/chocolate for next few shifts already (left in car so not tempted to eat just for sake of it!)

I know how you feel re night shifts. I used to take a pasta salad or pasta/ rice based meals snacks as it used to give me continuous energy not the spikes that chocolate gives?

My weight has stabilised after the steroid induced blip. This always happens but i always panic. So i won't WI but will hopefully have a positive week and see a difference in the scales next week x

Some fabulous losses and STS's xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

  • Morning everyone, hope everyone has had a good week, weighed in this morning with a 3lb loss which is great. Been having 2 weetabix, banana and SS milk for my breakfasts, weekends omelette and beans, lunches have been just lots of fruit, cup of soup when I finish work, then just a normal dinner spag Bol, curry, fish etc, my treat in the evenings has been either a small glass of red or a curly wurly. Good luck everyone xx
