Yes. And now I've weighed in for this week and that 1lb has gone again so overall I'm STSmisspiggy87 wrote: »Morning everyone!
No snow here in Carlisle - think we've been lucky to miss it so far!
Annoyed to report a 1.5lb gain, bringing me only half a pound away from the dreaded 10 stone.
As I said before, I'm not really reducing my cals by an awful lot - 250 less a day, which should give half a pound of weight loss per week. But I am doing a lot more exercise - an hour extra, every day! And that should really all add up to give me a deficit of 500cals a day and 1lb loss a week.
Well done on the exercise. Perhaps you've just toned up and strengthened your bone density, so that would make you slightly heavier? That's very good in the long run - don't worry the weight you want to lose will happen.
I need to follow your good example and start some exerciseIf I can finally beat the lurgie that has lingered since before Christmas

Mind if I join you?
This is what I ate today - if one of you kind people wouldn't mind checking I'm not massively lacking anything nutrition wise I'd be very grateful.
S - banana at 6am prior to 6.30 bootcamp
B - porridge with skimmed milk and a spoon of sugar, cup of tea
L - boiled egg, half an avocado, ham sandwich made with wage thin ham and a seeded warburtons thin
S - carrot, cucumber, yellow pepper, plum tomatoes, celery
D - small jacket potato with cheese and bacon and BBQ sauce. Glass of low cal cherryade.
Week one - 4lb lost hooray
I'm not an expert, but it looks pretty good to me. You're doing the right thing with the fruit and veg.
Well done everyone on progress so far :T

Hi Folks,
It’s finally stopped snowing and just had a peek of blue sky – been having showers continuously all morning, but at least it’s the soft, wet stuff so hopefully it will shift soon, heaven forbid we get a frost overnight though.
As if it wasn’t cold enough outside I decided to do a freezer inventory – even with gloves I have numb fingers but at least I can get my menu for the week sorted. I’ve been trying to build a reasonably healthy menu around Burns Night when I will be indulging in some haggis, neeps and tatties – thankfully it’s after weigh-in though.
Bit of a lazy morning so opted for a brunch today of poached egg, baked beans and grilled tomatoes on toast. Off now to relieve the fridge of the not so fresh veg lurking in there and make a curry, which I’ll have with a small portion of brown rice, chutney and maybe a chapatti.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190 -
Trying to be positive today after my disappointing STS yesterday! Really thought I was going to lose at least 1/2 lb but a sneaky piece of cake and 2 bread rolls when 1 would do is probably the reason!
Food today....
B - porridge
L - hm leek and potato soup, 1 slice hm bread
T - curry, rice but no naan bread
S - snack a jacks, orange, small glass of wine
Exercise - went out for an hours walk this morning in the snow to collect a parcel from the post office!
Feeling warm and cosy this evening

Hi everyone, I have lost another 3lbthis week!!
I stuck with the salad, fish and veg diet, no pasta, rice, potatoes or bread and no alcohol. Also I exercised 6 out of the 7 days so I am pleased that the scales reflect this.
In Feb I will be in the US for 10 days, 4 days work and then my boyfriend is flying out to meet me and we are going to New York. I will definately NOT be sticking to the diet then! We have food put on for us whilst working, lots of bagels, pastries and cookies so I may undo all of January's work.
I am glad this is a 12 week challenge, it will give me chance to catch up again!
Good luck this week everyone!0 -

Sorry that I didn't add a weight loss this week and my meals but have had problems with tablets I'm on and even though I'm eating healthily and exercising, I'm putting weight on. I did manage to go out at 6am for a walk one day this week before the snow came but I didn't manage to go swimming or running as my backs so painful
I will start tracking my food again from today and try and do it all week.
B: 1 brown toast, peanut butter
S: 1 breakfast bar (v. small)
L: 1 sml goats cheese & watercress wrap, handful crisps, 2 spoons coleslaw, handful fruit (lunch during a fab spa day)small portion HM chicken curry & rice, HM naan, 2 popadoms
I must have also sweated about a stone off in the steam room & sauna at the spa??0 -
late break time for me (really dislike night shift!)
anyway yesterday/nightshift food as follows
b: 1slice of toast n jam (so tired it was all i had energy to eat!!
L: homemade parsnip soup n 2 slices of tiddley sized white breadchilli n rice (made with turkey mince n loads of veg. was quite tasty but rather mild! more chilli powder next time i reckon!)
S: yogurt and fresh fruit wi a wee handful of fruit loops, small packet of mccoys, packet of munchies, 1 chocolate biscuit (not scheduled for, it was in my mouth before i realised! how bad!!)
and a can of coke to keep me awake to end of shift.
plus ive drank loads more water than i normally would! :T
i think tracking what i eat on here is definately going to name and shame my bad eating habits!! can only be a good thing0 -
Hi all,
I'm on my 3rd week back on the wagon, and this is my first post in this thread (long term lurker though)
Have been using my fitness pal to calorie count and cook most things from scratch. Have weaned myself off weighing myself every 5 minutes because I fluctuate a lot during the day and it just made me fed up. So weighing in every Monday. Have quite a lot to lose so will probably be around for a while.
Without further ado...
B: Boiled egg, 2 slices brown toast, coffee
L: Baked potato, cottage cheeseVegetable soup, half leftover small baguette
S: Pineapple, halved kitkat with OH, leftover noodles and veg
Excercise was wandering around town a bit - it's too icy to walk very far :S0
