Sparrer could it be the pineapple or a combination of it and the yoghurt, I know pineapple sometimes has that effect on me.

Thanks n2bt, never thought of that. I'll give it a miss today and see what happens. DD suggested the cauli, I've just finished the last of it so if it happens tonight I can blame that :)

Don't use this expression as a rule but 'OMG' Dragon, that's amazing :T. You wanted losses, you got one with a vengeance :D. Now can we all have a go on your scales please ha ha

Nooooooooo daisie, please don't, we need each other and if one of us goes the boat wobbles too much :(

I'm having a complete mental meltdown this week, I am eating so much, I think I have gained about half a stone...and I feel no desire to change that, I am tired of it all, I just want to eat, and I keep crying for no reason and I want to do nothing except hide under a duvet in my pyjamas (oh and eat!)

Oops, I forgot this is weight loss thread and not 'let out all your craziness' thread! Sorry ladies. I have hugely fallen off the wagon and I don't even want to get back on right now :(

daisy - I really know how you feel - as of yesterday I have put on half a stone in 2 weeks, I eat to feel emotionally better - and unfortunately it works when I am feeling all kinds of crazy. I aslo get counselling and am on antidepresants though so am trying to change my reliance on food (which has developed over the past 5 or so years).

do you want to try and get back on the wagon with me as a buddy? no pressure - I understand that sometimes it is too much. also (and feel free to tell me to take my large, meddling ars* on a long walk off a short pier) can I suggest maybe going and seeing your GP to talk through exactly how you're feeling. Sometimes good just to get it all off your chest, and if it's something that needs a little more help you can talk through options with them. Finally: Vitamin D3 is helping my mood this week (or perhaps it's placebo, I don't care, cos I feel better today).

Dragon WOW. that's all I'm capable of saying right now!

    food -
    250g of raspberries c. 75kcals
    pea and ham soup 380kcals
gonna be another ham.cheese/random veg omlette tonight for tea.
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)

Thank you for your kind words :)

I don't think I need to see a dr or anything, I am unwell with labyrinthitis at the moment and OH is very stressed at work and I think I have a touch of the winter blues - it's just a combination of all those things. I'm sure when my physical health is sorted (and I am feeling better each day) my mental health will follow. Yesterday I spent half an hour sitting on the floor in one of the spare bedrooms crying because we have too many suitcases!!! Talk about first world problems :rotfl: at least I can laugh at myself.

Yes, I must must must get back on track, and I must do it SOON before I gain too much and there is no coming back :( so.....yes let's be get back on the wagon buddies! :D

Have you tried blueberries and strawberries with a table spoon or 2 of greek yog topped off with a sprinkle of chopped nuts?!! This is my FAV!! and maybe a good 'pudding' way of squeezing in some fruit? Although this is what I eat most days for breakfast :D

Daisiegg - please don't leave us. This cold weather has us all feeling rubbish at the moment, so you're in good company. Is it worth taking a multivitamin tablet every day, just in case you're missing out on something you need? It may help you feel a bit better. Keep posting and talking to us. Sending lots of hugs.

Had fresh fruit salad with yogurt instead
sautee'd mushrooms, cauliflower cheese made with rf cheese,
yogurt, cucumber, tomato, rd cheddar. Roll with rf yogurt & marmalade
S - pineapple, melon, pear, plums

Last night I was so bloated it was painful, I can't see any great change in my diet except for Mr S yogurt, and the powdered milk I made the cheeses sauce with. Could dairy cause it? I'm okay when I buy Mr M yogurt so seems strange but that's all I can think of

Sparrer - could it be the cauli cheese? It has that effect on me too. And combined with all the fruit?

  • daisiegg - please PLEASE dont give up. If you recall I was ready to throw the towel in 2 weeks after I started on this thread.

    I am 12st 4lbs (at last count) and I'm only 5ft 4 (just over).
I was 12st 10lbs on the 11th September. It CAN be done.

I have had rubbish weeks too - had a horrible week about two weeks ago, just really went to pieces because too much was going on.
Have you thought about writing a diary and getting all your stuff down on paper? Then you can go back and look at it and try and self-analyse it at a much later date. :)

{{{hugs}}} if you ever feel the need to privately vent, the pm button is down vvv there someplace.

I'm beginning to think I eat a very boring range of food compared to you guys - artichokes, cashews, salmon..... :o

Artichokes - free from my late neighbour's abandoned garden (with permission). Cashews - ok these are a bit of a luxury, but a great meat alternative [or reduces the amount of meat protein required] and a bag lasts for ages, or, in moments of weakness, cashews are better than chocolate! ;) Salmon - essential oily fish [£2.30 - 200gms - is that extravagant?].
