  • Dear me - what a evening at work.

Being the ever helpful soul I am I was date checking our packs of chocolate behind the bars, only to find out one particular type went out of date today, and there were ten bags of them.

After rootling through the other two bars + the cubbyhole storage room we have for the chocolate......we found 53 bags of chocolate due to go out of date TODAY...so the manager put it all through as wastage and every staff member got one bag - except I got two because I was the one who spotted it.... :rotfl:

Not so sure its good for the waistline but the other staff members (all 40 or so of them) are very pleased with me since we all got free chocolate after our shifts LOL.

    Morning all :)

    Nice one theatregirl :D

B - 30g Special K red berries, it was so sweet it was like eating a bowl of sugar _pale_, when I read the label it has 8% sugar per 30g! I buy a bag of sugar perhaps once every year or so, so you can imagine how awful it tasted. It was free but I'm not that desperate for food so it's going to DGD2 with their (free) s&v crisps. Had fresh fruit salad with yogurt instead
D - Grilled Cumberland sausage, sautee'd mushrooms, cauliflower cheese made with rf cheese, rf spread, rf powdered milk.
T - Dinner roll spread with rf yogurt, cucumber, tomato, rd cheddar. Roll with rf yogurt & marmalade
S - pineapple, melon, pear, plums
E - will try some gardening if not too cold, otherwise general housework and step/stretch exercises. Need get back to the gym soon :(

Last night I was so bloated it was painful, I can't see any great change in my diet except for Mr S yogurt, and the powdered milk I made the cheeses sauce with. Could dairy cause it? I'm okay when I buy Mr M yogurt so seems strange but that's all I can think of

Ms Dragon Ma'am, I agree with Alipot. Unless you know a set of scales has been freshly calibrated and checked again, I don't believe any of them are really guarenteed to show your true weight. That's why we weigh differently on the scales at home or the ones in B**ts or the ones at thedoctors. I think the only thing you can do is weigh yourself on the same scales at the same time of day in the same state (clothed or naked - although maybe not naked if you use the scales in B**ts!!) and concentrate on the difference since you last weighed. Hopefully that will be a good indication of the change in your weight

On another note, one of my residents at work has given me a box of chocs as she missed me when I was on annual leave last week.

    They're calling me!!! Heeeellllllllllllllppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!

Re: pink n whites - they are made by Caxtons and are with the biscuits in T's in a pink packet. They are waffle wafers (like the ice cream wafers) with pink and white mallow in the middle. Less than 2% fat and quite big, so take a while to get through, nomnomnom:rotfl:

Thank you Coxy, :) so now I know. Have seen them, but don't like the artificiality so won't be adding 'em to my diet!

I did not do well yesterday. Ended up having a snack every few hours rather than proper meals, which has resulted in bloating and a thick head from the last item on the list. Serves me right - have now put a label on the box in the fridge; a reminder not to eat after mid-afternoon. :o

    B - 2 x wm toast, butter, copious marmite, 2 x tea.
    1. Finished off chicken/cashew/mango mixture.
    2. Salmon & pringle sandwich.
    3. Bag of grapes.
    4 x mint cream biscuits :o
    5. Artichokes with rose sauce.
    6. 3 x crab sticks, small baked spud.
    7. 3 x profiteroles. :o
Plus about ten cups of tea through the day/evening.
Ex - not much due to foul weather.
  • Oh dear think I may have ruined all the good work I have trying to do this week, a dear friend visited yesterday armed with some wine so ended up tucking into nibbles, crackers and cheese whilst we enjoyed a glass or two/three/four – my head tells me that I had one too many, just hope I don’t crave the sugar hit mid-afternoon – cause pineapple or plums just ain't going to do it for me.

    Meals for the day =
    B – Porridge & stewed plums
    L – Pea, Spinach & Watercress Soup
    D – Veggie Shepherds Pie

Sparrer could it be the pineapple or a combination of it and the yoghurt, I know pineapple sometimes has that effect on me.

    Wow Dragon that's great :T:D:j

I'm beginning to think I eat a very boring range of food compared to you guys - artichokes, cashews, salmon..... :o

    Today's food:

B - 2 x crumpets, scraping of marg, scraping of hedgerow jam
L - chicken noodle cupasoup, white sliced roll, scraping of marg, two finger kitkat
D - probably thai red chicken curry with basmati rice
S - must force myself to eat some fruit....hate fruit....:(

E - 2 hours gardening for a client, then mowed our lawn (another hour)

    Have a great evening everyone.
