  • Morning All,

Definitely going to fit a shred session in today, I need to put a lot more effort in this week…..does anyone else get the faint whiff of smoke…….could that be the Dragon stoking the fire :rotfl:

    Meals today =
    B – Yoghurt & stewed apples
    L – Butternut Squash Soup
D – Chorizo & Bean Stew, green beans, cabbage, pitta bread
    S – fresh pineapple
Need2bthrifty you took the words right out of my mouth :rotfl:

Ho Hum, was it scarlet o'hara who said.....tomorrow is another day :D

Yes, Scarlet O’Hara’s words but that’s where the similarity ends – I've never had or likely to have an 18 inch waist

Carrot and ginger soup is very nice, but I haven't tried it with parsnips in as well.

Oooooh…..now that sounds tasty and definitely appeals to my taste buds – do you have a recipe to share?

    O/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)
  • I have been missing for a number of weeks, we've had no internet at home and I haven't had chance at work :(

I haven't been weighed since I last weighed in either (about 3 weeks ago :o)

I have recently signed up to Myfitness app as I really need to get to grips with portion sizes and what an eye opener!! I think I am currently eating twice as much as I am suppose to be eating ... My allowance to lose 1.5 pounds a week is approx 1600 and when I look at what I have been eating  Work isn't as busy today and no boss tomorrow so I will be googling calories in a few things and making a proper meal plan with the intention of monitoring my portion sizes!! I am also returning to the gym this week as I am still awaiting my consultants appointment :(

Hope everyone else is doing well given the miserable weather! Lots of hearty stews for me I think!! :)

    Hi everybody,

Well I survived my first shift at work :) Ended up having my half hour break at 7pm and took tuna pasta with me, which was a much needed boost. Nice small team of teenagers working with me, who were very helpful.

    Food yesterday:

B - 2 WW wm toast, scraping of marg, scraping of marmalade
L - Panini with 2 cheese slices and a tbsp of sweet chilli sauce
D - Pasta mixed with 1/3 tin tuna and 1 dsp mayo

E - Lots of bending and stretching and running up and down warehouse stairs :p

    Today's food:

B - syrup flavour micro porridge, ss milk
    S - banana
    L - He!nz mulligatawny soup
    S - 1 x pink and white
D - beef meatballs, napoletana sauce, spaghetti

    E - 2 x gardening clients - mowed lawns and swept leaves

DS1 is cooking spag bol today so provided it makes it home on the school bus we will have a combination of that and meatballs/spaghetti tonight.

    Have a good evening everyone.

    Afternoon All

Well, I am still eating for England at the moment - which isn't how I planned to spend this week. However, I have done lots of exercise today so hopefully have burnt some of it off again.

B: Muesli with extra seeds and raisins.
L: (Out) Egg and chips with Coke. HM chocolate mousse when I got home again.
T: (Pack up for work as I start at 5.30 today) HM butternut squash soup. Banana
Snack: 2 HM Welsh cakes with butter.

Exercise: 3 mile run. One hour upper body workout and about 15 min of stretches. 36 lengths swimming at pool.

ssm I empathise. ci's are horrible. Hope it goes soon
Dragon I had a sneaky step on the scales this morning, as long as I don't do anything to sabotage what I saw you just might get you wish on Friday :shhh:

B - Spicy, fruity porridge with sk milk
L - Dinner roll with rf yogurt, garlic philly, tomato, cucumber. Dinner roll with rf yogurt & marmalade. fresh fruit salad with rf yogurt
    D - Chicken & rice.
S - Nana, melon, pineapple, satsuma
E - 2 hours gardening this morning. Gym took a back seat until lungs settle down, definitely better but still not 100%

Grateful for a beautiful if cold day so I could finish what I needed to before it's too cold to do anything in the garden. Like a mire out there though after so much rain, my wellies were sinking in the ground like quicksand!

    Stay warm S

Savesummore - hope you're feeling a bit better now? Take it easy, no point in running yourself into the ground.

First day back at work today - it was the GCSE exam day for yr 11 - most seem to think it went ok and have looked at the paper and we seem to have focussed on the right things so fingers crossed.:o I think I get more nervous than the kids!

My legs are very stiff today after yesterday's run (even after lots of stretching afterwards) so only walking today - have managed 4k to add to the 100k challenge total (over quarter of the way there now and its only the 5th). Not too bad for a Monday.

Just got a big pot of leek and potato soup on the stove and will put a few portions in the freezer to keep me on the straight and narrow next week. Doing quite well with the batchcooking thing - building up a little stock of "ready meals" now.

I started off really well this morning, too well. I craved the sweet stuff and give in to chocolate and crisps at lunch time.

I have walked 6 miles today though (post office trip)
