No loss for me DragonI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I'm off on an organised walk this morning - its only a 4 mile one so won't be a marathon but will get me out and about for a couple of hours and it will get the 100 km challenge walk out of the way for the day.
I'll also do a bit more batch cooking later - a chickpea and veg curry today, one for tea and two for the freezer, I'm trying to make my own "ready meals" to stop me eating rubbish after work next week.
I must admit that I'm feeling a lot better since starting the 100 km challenge - apart from feeling a lot less bloated, I've slept better and feel more focussed - I guess I'm the sort of person that needs a target to focus on:)
Realised last night that its 6 weeks to my Xmas do - that's my goal date for getting to my target weight and fabbing pinnacle(!):rotfl:Still some work to do!0 -
*sneaks in* I know I haven't been by for a couple of weeks! I treated myself to a shiny and new budget tablet, and haven't turned the laptop on for a while. I now have a kindle app, that lets me download all the free kindle books, and I went all out! I downloaded 34 new books, and when I counted, about 20 of them were weight loss related. I've decided that's not healthy! I also reached the point where I feel like I've been on a diet for so long, I am rebelling a little bit here and a little bit there, and craving bad foods I didn't even care about before.
I've reached the conclusion I'm going to give up dieting for a while. I'm not going to start eating chip butties every night, I'll still be sensible, but I'm not 'on a diet'. And I'm still going to stop by to see how you are all getting on!
Good luck with the rest of the Christmas challenge!0 -
Morning all
Feeling very sluggish and bloated again today, not sure whats up with my digestion this week. Will make more of an effort to drink more water and get moving I think and hope it makes a difference.
WW, for the myfitnesspal challenge are the km supposed to be extra to your usual exercise? Hubsy and I share the walking of shammy dog depending on our shift patterns, I do appx 5 miles on my days, which would be 85 miles for November (136km). For the challenge I will aim for 50 km more than I do already.
I start nightshifts again tonight, so diet will be skewed for a few days, will catch up Monday or Tuesday with everyone.
Todays plan
B: hf cereal and fruit
L: soup, small roll and fruitfish portion and lots of veg
S: banana and yoghurt
Packup: tuna pasta bake, banana, grapes and yoghurt
Ex: dog walking
Well I better get a move on if I'm to do any extra walking this morning, havn't had breakfast yet and I'm typing this in my pj's.
Have a good weekend everyone.Success is a journey, not a destination0 -

Ok Dragon, I've checked back, and am delighted to report minus three kilos! :j :j :j
However that was following an unexpected gain of two kilos due to dratted wheat intolerance and surfeit of pain meds... Sooo, suppose am now one kilo less than I was when I first joined in this challenge. (Or one-and-a-half kilos less if I take the scale's more optimistic figure - which am not sure I should 'coz it's a different set of scales  ).
Does that make sense?0 -
Belated good morning all, late this morning as I had a mad couple of hours and changed all the kitchen cupboards around. Can't believe after 9 years of living here how much easier it is now. As my (wise, old before her years) DGD said, 'a change is as good as a rest Grandma', and in this case it's certainly proved right.
B - Spicy, fruity porridge, sk milk
L - W@rburtons pocket spread with ff yogurt, one side salad, one side nana
D - Chicken & veg casserole, couscous. Fresh fruit salad
S - melon, plum, satsuma
E - hoping to get out in the garden after lunch if I don't fall asleep, to take up the bean sticks and clear the leaves.
Have a good rest of the day0 -
afternoon all
not feeling too bad this afternoon after last nights drinkies, although a couple of friends stayed well until midnight and are even more coughhungovercough now lol. I'm lucky in the sense I can sleep mine off and not feel too groggy the morning after
mind you my state was nothing to when checking up on facebook and finding out a close friend of mine has been cheated on by her bf and she only found out yesterday - so trying to help her deal with that as well - rather a sobering effect in itself!
anyhoo, ramble over. meal plan.....
b- 2 slices wm toast with cheese.
l- going to see what dairylea in a tortilla wrap with (more) leftover salad is like. will have last pack of sunbites crisps with it. should be interesting.
d- having takeout pizza & chicken strips tonight from Dominos. I havent had takeaway since mid September! :A and probably won't have another until well into the New Year. So this is my treat.
s- ww mini jaffa cake roll. piece of blackberry and apple pie. 2 mini choc chip cookies.
off to pre order takeout for this evening, happy saturday all xxx0 -

As far as I can tell there are no hard and fast rules - I'm including my normal dogwalking and adding to it.
Just back from the walk which turned out to be just over 5 miles (8km) - poor little poocher is shattered! Only around the block after his tea for him now today - he's so tired he's fast asleep on my lap now and snoring his head off. He only has little legs.:o
Up to 17.5 km now but did have a sneaky custard cream on teh walk but MFP says that I used up over 600 cals so I'm not fretting over a biscuit:rotfl:0 -
Hi Folks
It’s been a lovely sunny, but cold, day. I decided to go and visit my brother whom I haven’t seen for ages and luckily my nephew was there whom I haven’t seen for an even longer time, so spent a great time with the two of them but it has meant that I have been extremely lazy – I really must start doing my exercise dvd in the mornings again before I shower and dress for the day.
Meals today =
B – Yoghurt & fruit
L – Bro’s HM Soup – he really does make a great pot of soup :T
D – Couscous with Bacon & Veg hotchpotch (bacon, peppers, mushrooms fried up then fresh toms, herbs/spices thrown in)Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £42.190
