Good luck with your new job Coxy11.
Why don't you start your new job as you mean to carry on and make sure that you don't have a diet busting lunch. Eats into money gained as well if you buy ready made lunch every time.

Someone suggested I did this for the coffee I was buying at work. Turned out I was working a whole term of evening classes a year just to pay for the coffee that's without any extra sandwiches or cakes etc."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

really sorry everyone, I've got to report a 4.5lb gain - not all of that will be "real" but some of it will be
am going to have serious words with myself (and stop baking: it might save money, but it's killing my willpower):AA/give up smoking (done)0 -
Morning all
I have to report a 1lb gain.
Have had a tummy bug for past 48 hrs and although I have been eating, it hasnt been anywhere near my 1300 calorie allowance. So putting it down to being unwell or water retention or something.
WW, daisiegg, Aldahbra, can I join in your challenge too, I walk quite a bit on my days off but not at all on my work days, so will consult my diary to decide on a total.
Todays plan:
B: usual cereal and fruit
L: chicken salad sandwich on one slice of breadtreat night as hubsy and I have a night off together, it wont be healthy or low fat so wont post. I will however enjoy every mouthfull.:rotfl:
S: lf yoghurt, banana
Ex: 5 miles of dog walkingSuccess is a journey, not a destination0 -
Another STS - not bad, would like to see a small loss but considering the melee over the past 2 week I'm not complaining.
B - spicy, fruity porridge with sk milk
L - panini, one side spread with rf mayo, the other rf spread and rf garlic philly, filled with sliced cucumber, tomato, mushroom.
S - friend in for tea so will be a mini choc roll, bought for trick or treaters and there are just 2 left
D - chicken & veg casserole, couscous
S - nana, pear, satsuma, plum
E - cleaned the bathroom, dusting, vac'ing, general pottering. DD and I going back to gym on Monday, hopefully her bones and my chest will be better by then
The sun is shining0 -
Morning All
I've had a really busy week - extra busy at work, visitors and extra babysitting - so haven't really been thinking about my meals properly. At least I can report a STS which is better than it could have been. I've been a bit more organized today and have some roasted butternut squash soup bubbling on the hob. As soon as I have posted this I shall blitz it and put some in a flask for lunch to take to work.
B: 2 glasses of semiskimmed milk. Some cold chicken - eaten as I took the meat off the carcass ready to make stock.
L: HM butternut squash soup. Banana.Grilled potato skins (instead of chips) with fried egg and mushrooms as I need something quick to cook when I get in from work. HM chcocolate mousse.
Exercise: Walk to work and back so only about 1.5 miles.

Morning all (just)
Had a bit of a giggle this morning, called Mum cos the points on our scale are so small I can't see from a distance (and I wear glasses!) and she was peering, going "you weigh [amount]". me: "are you sure, it looks like [2 lbs more than she said]". after a bit of back and forth, I said "really? the top part of the scale looks like [original amount]". she said "oh the stones and pounds are the top of the scale?! I've been using the scale underneath all this time - the kg one."
:rotfl:
anyway in spite of it all, i am happy to report a 1lb loss and that I have officially lost all the weight I put on when I was on holiday early Sept! :T 3lbs during the challenge and 3lbs before I even joined the forums.
Off to A's and T's plus the pet shop and hairdressers this morning, so must finish breakfast and scoot!0 -
I STS this week, though I'm not surprised
Next week I am going to be so strict...!

I will declare tomorrow but expecting a STS or gain:(I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Do you know, I may join you WelshWoofer and Aldahbra, except I think 100km is a bit much for me - I don't (can't!) run so it would just be walking. But I might try for 50 in November (may sound pathetic but it would be a huge increase on what I do now!). Can I join you in your challenge?
The more the merrier! I've put in in my signature to keep track. What a fantastic idea. I've been on myfitnesspal too but haven't seen this. I'm going to have a go and see if I can do it too.
Its on the community bit Fitness threads - November Move your As* challenge.
Loads of people are doing it!DaisyDayDream wrote: »

Fab - we'll all need new walking shoes soon!
I'm classing my kms as above and beyond what I normally do - for example, I've trudged around the shops this morning but am not counting it as I do that every week. Its all the extra stuff I'm logging.
Done the shopping this morning and have been fairly good - only one or two little treats and in small bags to stop me scoffing big bags.
Just about to set off on a walk with the woofer - its clouding over so need to get out before it starts raining.:(
Hoping for 5km extra today - that should be about an hour or so - will time myself to see how long it takes.
Will be making a big veggie mince spag bol for tea and a couple of extra portions for the freezer to help me stay on track when I'm working again - made an extra cheese and potato pie last night that's now nestling in the freezer.
Right need to get my walking shoes on and get out there!
PS Dragon - please put me down for a STS this week (weighed yesterday)0
