    Evening All,

I have STS this week but am pleased that I didn't put on after all the rubbish I have been eating. I more or less managed to get back onto the low carb way of eating today, although I had muesli for breakfast as I was running. We went shopping too and stocked up as the fridge, freezer and cupboards were very low.

B: Muesli with extra seeds and raisins.
L: Grilled goats cheese salad (mixed leaves, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, mushroom, beetroot, mixed seeds and sprouted seeds) served with balsamic dressing

    6259088.jpg

D: Pork shoulder chop served with green beans and a mixture of vegetables in a creme fraiche paprika sauce (HG baby courgettes, mushrooms, garlic, red onion and HG winter leaves). Half a bar of dark chocolate (20g)

    6260002.jpg

    Snack: Cashew nuts (several handfuls!)

Exercise: 5 mile run with a half mile walk at either end.

    Good Morning x
I just weighed in for the week ( I know, I know) but I slept all day yesterday and am now up drinking tea and eating processed cheese on toast! It had to be done as I was starvin' marvin and that was all i could find in the fridge - tasty though.

It is hard to tell my weight loss because I have a load of fluid to get rid of after my blood transfusion and I had 3 units. I was weeing for England and not at all thirsty so think it is probably 1 lb :T ( thank you Dragon x )

Well done to all those who have lost or STS and keep on ploddin' on to all those who are struggling xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Oh gosh, haven't been in for two weeks, hadn't realised it was quite that long! Combination of overexertion and then a vomiting virus coupled with the need to eat three times a day because of the antibiotics I'm currently on and having to eat wheat has left Casa Daska a bit of a food-phobic zone - and has meant that I've not really wanted to read about other people's meals. I've been forcing down a slice of bread three times a day and I'm STS! Which I'm happy with because one of the medications I'm on has a common side effect of weight gain. We'll just carry on trying to ignore the bloating and digestive pain for another week, then have the coeliac test and go straight back on lovely low-carb food :D

Meals today (cos I don't think my system is up to anything more just yet)
    B - slice of bread
    L - slice of bread
    S - slice of bread
(I'll probably put some marmite on it just to ring the changes)

:( just the thought of having to eat the above makes me feel grim.

    Good morning everyone, :hello:

Well I STS since last Sunday: 76kg.

    Yesterday's intake:
    B - 2 x wm toast, butter & lots of marmite. Tea x 2.
L - Chicken & veg soup with wm toast. An orange. Water.
D - Half a salmon steak on wm bread (couldn't be bothered to cook properly). Yoghurt. Tea x 2.
S - 4 x very mini florentines. More tea (all with skimmed milk & half a spoon of sugar).

..Far too much bread and not enough veg - am trying to empty the fridge/freezer before leaving next week.

Molly glad to hear you're home again; hope you feel stronger soon. :)

Daska hope you feel better soon too. :)

Oh dear daska that all sounds a bit rubbish :( hope you feel better soon!

Friday's food (I didn't count calories yesterday, so ill with a nasty cold it was all I could do to drag myself through work let alone weighing things and calculating calories)
B - shredded wheat with sugar(!) and soya milk, tea, orange juice (for the cold)
    S - banana
    L - Cup A Soup, apple
D - (proper comfort food from my childhood!) plain pasta, fish fingers, peas and lots of ketchup!
Pudding  - a little bit of dairy free ice cream. Not that much. My excuse is it was to ease the sore throat!

Not eaten anything yet today (Saturday) and I'm starving. Worried as I am just craving carbs and comfort food. True what they say about feeding a cold. At the same time, feeling too unwell to really spend any time cooking. I'm still in bed! Alone this weekend as well so can't even get OH to feed me. Ho him...
  • Awww, Daska, it makes me sad to hear youre all icky :kisses3:
Reminds me of when I get really bad flu (as I have done twice in 3 years) - my glands swell up either in my throat or in my stomach and all I can bear is boiled eggs of all things (not a big lover of eggs)! Last time I was sick was 2 years ago and I lost a heap of weight, which was the only plus about it!
Do you have to eat wheat as re: the medication? If my DM had a say she would have advised you to eat bananas or porridge instead, better for the stomach and probably not quite so heavy as the bread.

Many many hugs your way. x

right back to my own business - didnt have the wedges for dinner last night. had them up to defreeze overnight and they had turned black  so binned them and had mashed potato instead.
got plenty of exercise yesterday doing housework and pigged out a little bit in the evening - extra chocolate bar, glass of wine and a options hot chocolate with/after dinner. :rotfl:

back on track hopefully today - DM bought me Dairy Milk Chocolate with Oreo(!!!) in it.....strangely nice but wouldnt buy again. Still 3 chunks is 85 calories which is quite low I think!?

    b- 2 slices w/m toast with cheese
l- none, working through lunch today.
d- either kfc/bk or will pop to the supermarket. depends on time limitations and money atm lol
s - (after work) meat pasta bake. might have a small soft roll with butter too if they have defrosted enough.
s- pack of crisps before I start work, 7 chunks of oreo chocolate.
