Oh dear oh dear...yesterday after ranting to OH for an hour about my stupid work situation, bawling my eyes out and generally feeling like resigning....he said 'You have been so good with your diet, why don't you have a piece of cake to cheer you up?' ...............of course I needed no more encouragement than that!
So that brings yesterday's cals to 1673 (I may be over estimating the cals but it's better to over than underestimate)
Today, it's....
B- raspberries and soya yogurt , tea (207)
L - veg soup, apple, tea (170)
But then dinner is where it will all go wrong....having friends round and doing roast chicken with roasted veg (Nigella recipe from her new Italian series), will do garlic bread and potatoes for the rest but not for me. Will have just one glass of wine but I will have a little chocolate pudding for dessert.....and my estimates (overestimates, but still) add that all up to 1487 cals :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: More than my usual daily allowance! Mental. It's not even as if it's a giant curry or three course meal or something. Anyway, never mind. I know I could make it better by not having the wine or the pudding but frankly, it is so rare we have friends to dinner (can't remember the last time ever) that I want to enjoy it and don't want to be answering questions about why I'm not eating/drinking.
Anyway... That brings today's total cals to 1864
So I am another one who would be lucky to even manage to STS tomorrow....0 -

Yes the Hairy Dieters are the thinner versions of the Hairy Bikers! The programmes were on TV a while ago and a few people have posted that the recipes work well and are tasty. MrA is selling the cookbook at a reduced price at the moment.
Thanks for the heads-up MrsCD, I don’t normally shop at MrA but fancied getting a copy of this book, unfortunately the saving I made on the book kinda got lost with all the goodies that I bought from the World Foods aisle (spices and mini pasta shapes, prefer them to the huge ones in the pasta aisle, also cheaper!!)
So I’ve had a very lazy afternoon reading through the book, getting some inspiration and forward planning my menu. Whilst watching the TV I did a bit of finger exercises, channel hopping and stumbled on the Food Network channel and found myself open-mouthed in horror at some of the food combinations and portions they seem to serve up in America. I have never visited the US but someone please tell me that what I have been watching is the extreme rather than the norm  .Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Oct Grocery spends = £368.15
Nov - Grocery spends = £ 45.570 -

The book really, really is amazing. I have made at least half a dozen recipes from it so far and none have disappointed yet! Well worth a buy. Didn't think much of the TV series though, even though I usually like them.0 -

Sorry but I found the huge portions in America were the norm.
My daughter and I frequently shared one meal between us and it was more than enough. Fortunately the Americans dont mind at all if you do this and will happily give you an extra plate, would not
dream of doing it here for fear of disaproval not to mention then dont get enough to eat :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.Slimming World at target0 -
Morning all

Yes, yes, yes! There are far too many shrubs and trees in my garden (who planted those, I wonder ) for them to weave their evil webs across - I swear they're trying to surround my garden so it's become an aerial mine field! Yesterday one even managed to create a hazard between the bin and the side gate, the beggar knew it was bin day
Have a web-free day
I know what you mean! And I'm too scared to trim mine back because that means touching the webs! Though I did have a break-through and removed some webs from the wing mirror the other day, then spent most of the day afraid the little Mr was going to come get revenge! :rotfl:
Well I had a very successful day today at my training course- not only did I pass on the biscuit tray which passed by me 3 times (and sat next to me for half an hour), I didn't have any fruit juice and only 4 crisps. I was expecting that 1 cake meant a bit of fruit slice, but it was a big indulgent frosted chocolate cake. I did give in to a slice, but my tastes must have changes as it was too rich for me, and I left a big chunk. This is the first time I have EVER binned a bit of cake :T (I know this is a crime against humanity!)
B: Muesli with yoghurt
L: sandwich, samosa, plum, 4 crisps, most of a piece of chocolate cake
HM chicken tikka with rice and a HM chapati and I'm having some baked apple slices for dessert
S: smuggled in apple
New motivational book arrived today, going to get stuck in tonight!
* Baked apple slices means sliced up cooking apple btw- not a pastry tart!0 -
Evening all
I've had a good day today, even met my friends for coffee and didn't eat any cake, or the little biscuit that came free with the coffee, feeling very:A. Won't last for long, so have to make the most of it.
Todays plan
B: usual hf cereal and fruit
S: smoothie
L: chicken, salad and roast veg sandwich (with one slice of bread) a la hairy bikers
S: one oatcake with 1tsp peanut butter
pork chop, onion gravy and lots of veg
Ex: have done the usual 5 miles dog walking
Will sit later and have an options hot chocolate, stops the chocolate cravings, the new belgian chocolate one is lush.
Good luck for tomorrow everyone.
